the uchiha would win the coup d'etat easily (read first)

after re-reading the last chapters i realized that danzo was kinda talking big like:
"we ll have to take drastic measures" or "the clan will be annihilated" and i am like "does he believe what he is saying?"

the uchiha could easily win the civil war if that happened for the following reasons:

inability to use jichuriki and tailed beasts
the village had only naruto as a jinchuriki who couldnt fight and extracting the kyuubi would be something completely stupid since they didnt have mokuton and the uchiha had the sharingan

not enough kekkei genkai users
supposedly the village creates an army. 75% would be normal jonin and only 25% would be kekkei genkai users. the uchiha can copy any jutsu that is not kekkei genkai so they have the upper hand against this 75%

civillians would side the uchiha
the uchiha clan had been the police force that ensured the safety of many people for years and so they would like to support them in a way. dont forget that the uchiha massacre had always been treated like a tragedy and that many people considered itachi konoha's most evil personality

shisui and itachi vs hiruzen
the leading force of the army would be the 3rd hokage hiruzen sarutobi. we know from his battle against the 2nd and 1st hokage that genjutsu are his greatest weaknes. shisui and itachi were both mangekyou sharingan users and they could easily create a similar genjutsu that blinds the target. although i believe he could have killed them with high difficulty if they both cooporated they could win.

no uchiha massacre.no sharingan.no izanagi.
danzo is just an average jonin without all these sharingan and his futon is useless before uchiha's katon

black ops openings
itachi was the leader of black ops so he knew all their tactics and could easily find openings and create a good strategy against them. he could also be a double spy from the uchiha's side and say something like "i ll kill them" and then prepare a surprise attack along with the rest uchiha

izanagi
uchiha would definately use izanagi in these situations and as we all know this jutsu is trully op.

the sanin were away back then
all of them had already left the village back then as the uchiha massacre took place after the 3rd shinobi war. tsunade was away at some random casino, jiraiya was "researching" new material and orochimaru had already left the village.

Shisui and itachi wouldve been on the leafs side....95% of the other ones were regular jonin or weaker. Hiashi/hizashi>fukaku (who probably wouldnt have been in the coup)

Only Ms users can controlll the kyuubi, None of the Fodder uchiha with 3tomoe could even come close to controlling a Biiju.

Civillians would not side with the uchiha, They would side with the leaf shinobi and their hokage.

As i remember both itachi/shisui would of sides with the leaf also, Since they were both against the uchiha's plot and also both tried to stop it.

Even if Itachi/Shisui did side with the uchiha, the clan wouldn't survive for very long even if they did take over the leaf.
Other village would of attacked and wiped them out.

Well Danzo had already taken shisui's Eye so he did have a Sharingan, Even without izangai he still has the Anbu root at his command.

But Itachi was against the uchiha's plan and wouldn't of sided with them.

izanagi
uchiha would definately use izanagi in these situations and as we all know this jutsu is trully op.

None of the uchiha showed the skill to use izanagi, If they could they would of used it when itachi was slaughtering them all.

The word would of gotten out, Tsunade/Oro wouldn't of Given two Shits, (Oro would of most likely taken advantage of the war and steal him a few sharigans)
jiraiya would of rushed back to the leaf.

Even if the uchiha had taken the leaf, they would of been destroyed by other villages while they were weakend from the war with the leaf.
Also if your giving the uchiha's Itachi/Shisui, the Leaf should have their sannin.
