what hints are there that madara knew about tampering? bz didnt use genjutsu. hes the son of kaguya, he can most likely alter it fine. bz removed or chnged enough to fool madara and others. hamura might have been removed too. we dont know whats written specificly and what was changed.

madara said hagos ninshu failed and that moons eye was the salvation. he read those things on the tablet.

I always figured that Madara was fooled precisely because he did have Dojutsu.

Hashirama (who has no Dojutsu) received the true message that Hagaromo intended to be read. Madara, because he had the Sharingan was able to read more and more from the tablet which are the parts that BZ wrote.
Hagoromo left message:

Madara was no fool and he was certainly not stupid. But I do believe that he got tricked by BZ and the Tablet.

Perhaps he was suspicious and maybe put some fail-safe measure in case things went south but we've yet to see any of this happen. As far as the Manga is concerned - Madara was fooled into reviving Kaguya and casting the IT as BZ had planned all along. Still, I think we might be in for some more twists in the future.

Why is it so hard for you to believe that your favorite characters have been tricked? Your whole Tobidara theory hinges on you not being able to accept that Itachi didn't know the full truth. You need to realize that not knowing the full truth doesn't diminish a character's intelligence... Madara is still a genius and probably the most intelligent character in the manga. He had no way of knowing that the tablet was altered.

Eh, idk dude. If Madara knew that something was up and that BZ wasn't his own creation/had his own agenda, then, like you said, he would not have been tricked. The problem is, he DID think Black Zetsu was his. In fact, he believed he "created" Black Zetsu at a point in his life when he was already well devoted to the IT plan.

Madara's face when BZ stabbed through him should pretty much confirm that he had no idea.

Madara never gets caught off-guard like that. He even dodged Tobirama's FTG Slash from behind.

EDIT: My point is, if he was suspicious, he wouldn't have gone through with a plan that, like you said, he didn't know what its true purpose was. In fact, I think this would diminish his intelligence.

he didnt know kaguya was in the tree until the end. if hago couldnt sense bz, why would madara?
