You're sick and mentally deluded then. You believe it's okay to slaughter innocent children and elderly just because of some political vendetta?

Itachi really is followed by a pack of loons, and not even the funny kind.
That why I can't fk with uchia fan 95% of u are delusional and crazy
Where did I said it was ok

Even it wasn't one, it would have turned out into one. Mind you, last resort because I strongly believe that Hiruzen and Itachi made mistakes and took impulsive decisions, Itachi made mistake carrying burden on himself, Hiruzen while trying to understand the situation thoroughly. Yes they made mistakes, but even they would have done everything correct, even if Itachi would have told his parents and family the truth and they wouldn't have think about giving away the thought of Coup d'etat, then massacre was the only 'last' option.

I never said that war doesn't decide who is right or wrong, but war is sometimes unavoidable situation and one who participates in war can't be blamed. That was the point I wanted to make.=D
Geeta basically says do war to protect the people, basically Kshatirya/warrior cast has to do war when nothing else is possible.

They were segregate citizens, I agree and hence I even said that Hiruzen and Itachi made mistakes, and hence that this situation was unjustifiable. Hiruzen would have worked around the entire Danzo scenario and he made mistake. Talking about Danzo, yes he is to blame as well and maybe his nature was a reason due to which Tobirama didn't make Danzo third hokage.
It was Hiruzen's duty to know these traits of his friend and keep a close watch on his action, a department where third hokage failed.:p
1.Manga states massacre took place before hiruzen's convo with uchiha's.@bold itachi stated sasuke would have changed the scenarioband he overestimated himself rather than believing in comrade thus failed.
2.agreed with second point then.
3.Ok i agree with that

Its your word against the manga's, I'll take s words thanks. Now are you gonna question Shisui's intelligence as well?
Sure just disregard everything else I said and pick issue with only one line.

Looking objectively at the facts. It was one clan (the Uchiha) vs the entire village (which has a dozen or so powerful clans). That's not enough to stipulate a civil war. You have one dissenting minority group lashing out at the majority. Projecting that a war would've broken out is taking things to extremes. The invasion of the Sound ninja was quelled in a under a day. Frak that. The better part of an afternoon is all it took for the united clans and shinobi of Konoha to crush the Sound invaders.

Shisui and Itachi were pawns who were played by Hiruzen and Danzo to meet their own ends. Both were teenagers, young and dumb who were taken advantage of by the elders they put their trust in.

Says the guy who just went out on a limb to state that killing children is okay. The irony ...

No, it's your word against the manga as well. No where in the manga is it stated that the Coup was not justified nor does it state the slaughter was. Let it go.

No, Hiruzen was such a ***** that he let Danzo walk all over him. If they took out the main conspires (the elders and Fugaku, I don't think there was much more, the clan sort of rolled with it) it should have been neutralized. Even if they had to eliminate more than that, they shouldn't have killed the old people and other young kids. What are the elderly and the kids going to do? Whack them to death with a walking stick and tantrum their face off?

Cause that one line disregards every excuse you're trying to make. I've taken it out straight from the manga, you can go write a whole essay of excuse about it but you're arguing against what's been said in the manga. Furthermore, you talk of the Uchiha clan having no hope against the rest of the Leaf, whilst that is true, the other surrounding villages would see this as a civil war in the Leaf. Prompting the other villages to take advantage of the situation.

@Bold yeah nice one calling two of the Uchiha clan's prodigies "dumb". Bearing in mind Itachi was said to have understanding and thinking to that of a Hokage at a very young age.

Is it? When I was the one who provided proof from a reliable source, that being Shisui.

I was assuming that if Hiruzen would have done that, 'if-else' situation.:p
itachi stated sasuke would have changed the scenarioband he overestimated himself rather than believing in comrade thus failed.
Itachi himself admitted his mistake in front of Naruto, when he sealed Pain and broke edo tensei.:p
They are mistakes just like I said earlier.

Utilitarianism, in other words the greatest good for the greatest number. The Hokage and the Elders weren't going to risk the whole lives of the village through war between villages, which is what the coup would've let to. Also where did it say only few were involved? As far as I remember most of the Uchiha were involved and bent on carrying out the coup.

I agree then.
u r giving the justification in case every situation fails but i doubt that happened anywher or will happen.
@arcane angel:How does it gives justification.
If u perform for greater. But then it never says action is justified or not.
Uchiha itself had whole district in the village and there was police force that consisted of member of clan's.
We have see shopkeeper's,Housewives and Childrens.
So how do they become part of Coup planned by the fraction.
and wasn't it said Obito killed the Police Force while Itachi his parents and other's.
Damn too many people shown during Sasuke's mindrape and too many corpse in civillian dress.

Genocide is not justified and the Uchiha were right to voice there concerns nobody plans a coup just like that. Its clear the Uchiha were being oppressed if I were Itachi I would have contacted tobi convinced him of a combined soloing of the village take out fpdderuto release the kyubi and take over.

I never disputed what was stated in the manga. I only take issue with how things were conducted with dealing with the Uchiha. There were alternatives that were not taken. The Uchiha clan was not some invading nation. They were a small minority confined to the outskirts of the village. With how easily Itachi and Obito killed the clan, one can surmise to say that in a live combat situation; the Uchiha would've fought very bravely but died nonetheless. The Uchiha did not have the numbers or raw power to maintain a sustained siege over the course a few days. And that is me being optimistic about their chances.

@Bold yeah nice one calling two of the Uchiha clan's prodigies "dumb". Bearing in mind Itachi was said to have understanding and thinking to that of a Hokage at a very young age.
Praise coming from weak Hokage who would rather appease than lead and keep his oath to protect the villages. All the villagers including the Uchiha. Itachi was may have thought like a Hokage, but I doubt any of the other Hokage would've thought exterminating an entire clan was the right way to ensure peace. Itachi was 13 years old when he carried out Danzo's orders to kill the Uchiha. He was manipulated and used like a tool. Itachi being so young probably thought he was doing the right thing at the time. Children and subordinates put trust in their elders and leaders because they (the young/subordinates) cannot see all ends or grasp the magnitude of every decision. Itachi even admitted he failed. Given the miserable end Itachi met with; dying of sickness and killed by his own brother. There was no glamour in Itachi's post-massacre life. Itachi obviously lamented his decision and stated he wished he had taken a different course of action during the Kabuto fight and conclusion.
