First off losing someone precious to you doesn't awaken a RinneSharingan or a Rinnegan.

Second off the Uchihas weren't nerfed. We got to see their full potential and how OP they were especially with genjutsus. Granted that Sasuke was nerfed in VOTE 2 mainly because of his inexperience with the Rinnegan's abiilities and him trying to figure it out. This doesn't account for the fact that the whole Clan was nerfed.

The Uchiha weren't nerfed. They had pratically all the power most importantly controlling the Bijuu but also you must remember that the Sharingan is rare within the Uchiha Clan. The Uchiha Clan as a whole were feared so I don't know why people blatantly throw around the word nerf anytime the plot doesn't fit their liking.

I think he means nerf in a sense they don't use all their potential. Madara didn't display all the six path's abilities, for some reason obito couldn't use kumai as a juubi jon but Madara could, VOTE2 as you said, typically those with the most potential are nerfed. One could argue Izuna should've used izanagi to survive neing ckeaved by tobirama or that Madara could use izanami on Hashirama turning his heart completely into Madara's slave. The Uchiha's potential just leaves a lot of unanswered questions and "possibilities" when these possibilities stent exploited it's ofyen called a "nerf" hope this helped.

Uchiha were perfectly fine (though slightly OP) with just 3 tomoe, Things just got outright ridiculous with the introduction of MS and even more so when EMS got thrown into the mix.

As OP'd as they were it's no question they were nerfed. MS is an amazing power but you go blind just from using it? Theres also the fact Uchihas had powers like izanagi and izanami. Forbidden techs and has the ability to copy all jutsus but we've only seen a handful use those abilties. They were nerfed pretty hard.

Technically speaking the OP is correct.

The Senju clan was known as the strongest due to the very fact the Uchiha sealed off "love" eg; their capability to acquire the Sharingan. If the Uchiha Clan had awakened the Sharingan in the War Era they would've been noted as the strongest clan in Konoha rather than the Senju.

So in that aspect yes, Kishi "nerfed" them.

They had their sharingans, meaning they were utilizing their power of love and emotions and still couldn't defeat the senju once and for all. If the uchiha were indeed stronger then it should of been portrayed as such, which is wasn't.

Unless they were like, "we're at war with them and also have no problem with even killing youngsters they send out on the battle field but can we please not completely defeat them for shits and giggles"
