I dont think he hated them per say but he hated the destructive ability that laid dorment within them.
I think it perfectly natural for there to be hate amongst most individuals of the two clans. Especially so soon after ending their conflicts. Seems perfectly natural to me.

Living together with the Uchiha was a relatively new thing for Tobirama. He himself said that to him the Uchiha was still the enemy. He was born into a clan that spent its entire existence loosing comrades to the Uchiha and in turn killing Uchiha. Tobirama too spent at least half of his life loosing comrades to the Uchiha and in turn killing Uchiha.

The whole theme of the manga is centered around a cycle of hate, with the Senju and the Uchiha at the center of all of this. Looking at Tobirama's personality, actions, circumstances and lifelong interactions with the Uchiha clan and Madara, its pretty clear that he too was obviously a victim of this vicious cycle. And who can really blame him?

Look at the page on chapter 619 where tobirama hears the uchiha have been exterminated. He looks sad to me. Sorry I dont have time to find exact page

I think he did it because he felt overshadowed by Hashirama.

Either that or to avoid some kind of disaster. I doubt he did it just to be a ****.
