I believe I know what made the second hokage create this jutsu. He is portrayed as a very uncompassionate and straight to the point character. But even those characters have a caring side they just dont show it. Seeing as how we now know the truth behind the uchihas and the sharingan. I believe that the ET jutsu was really his idea to save the uchiha clan. Since the uchiha seem to go mad when they lose someone they love he thought that the ET would be a way to return that person to them and stop them from going down the road of hatred. He never finished the jutsu though since he left it incomplete. I think he didnt want to have to sacrifice a living person and he couldnt find a different alternative to make ET work.

I dont think he hated them per say but he hated the destructive ability that laid dorment within them.

Whether or not it is a valid solution is debatable indeed. As long as there are problems there will be "solutions" that will arrise. Tobirama's ET is just another example of the aforementioned "solutions". You can have the best intentions when exercising these "solutions" but that will in no way make it a valid way to remove the problem

I agree...I don't really think the 2nd hated the Uchiha in the manner people think he did...he may have just pittied them...with his personality, his pity comes of as bigotry and arrogance...sounds odd, but after fighting them for years and seeing them get stronger with every person the lose, I would think that they are ****ed up too!

I dont think izuna will be resurrected. It wouldnt end good that way imo. I think kishi will go deeper into the relationship between the first amd madara. With the first being alot like naruto I have a sneaky suspicion that since naruto and sasuke have such a bond between them so will the first and madara. It would make sense why madara praises him so much
