the size does matter, remember that he when he had to make a rasengan inside the balloon! There is a constant force pushing in all direction to make the rasengan explode, so the bigger the rasengan, the bigger the force!

heh well like I said, its hard to tell, but seriously except for speculation on the rasengan used to kill the first pein we have never even seen him do it with normal rasengan.
but I still think that if he vouldcomplete the normal rasengan alone he could complete the sage rasengan alone

i think the way he used the big rasengan is inconclusive as to whether he can do it with one hand or not. he wanted two rasengans and wanted to be in 3 places at once so he made two clones. who's to say that if he wanted one rasengan that he'd do the rasengan on his own.

Kinda disappointed though.

Jiraiya was fighting one Pein when he did his rasengan, Naruto was dealing with two summons while advancing toward Pein.....it makes sense for him to do that, because it fits the situation....

Don't be don't forget that Jiraya had the help of the frogs to gather nature chakra.

Well is it nog so that he needs one hand to apply shape-manipulation and 1 hand to add wind to it ? If that would be the case, he would need 4 hands to make a double rasenshuriken rasengan, which he doesn't have.

2. Before that he makes two clones , they run after Naruto

3. Naruto creates 2 Odama Rassengan in 2 hands

4. Naruto clones running after him , waiting and holding Rassengans to take them in time ( then Naruto finishes creating ) .

5. Naruto finishes doing OR , clones takes them and runs to summons , while Naruto is attacking fat Pain .
