he didn't "tank" rasen-shuriken
as you can see he's lying down without his armor. rasen-shuriken did some damage to him but still he was able to get up.
and thanks to being an edo he could keep going like nothing happened
if he wasn't edo tensei after getting up he would've been weakened and an easy target to defeat.
