The Tales of The Monkey Man: The Search for the Modstone!
Chapter I: The Blessing
Ancient tales tell of a secret stone, covered in moss, with bountiful creepers growing, coiling around its vividly throbbing body, the muted power of the stone possessing the subtle aura of transformation, its devastatingly impossible aura filling people who touch it with unimaginable power. Guarded by the most evil, the most powerful of the known humans, if this can be called that...guarded by one of the most dark creatures ever created, the stone is thought a legend. However, one man is willing to set out on a journey to find the stone...one man wants the power of...the MODSTONE !!
Our hero is... The Monkey Man, Bishamon!
Bishamon: Believe it!
Roku: O.- Are you done with voice-acting?
Bishamon: Party-pooper. O_O May the Narrator continue?
Narrator: In his quest, Bishamon needs to find and seize the ModStone. But before he can set on his journey, Bishamon needs to recieve the blessing of the two heads of the High Council of Moderators, known as Lawliet, and Caliburn. They are known to have succeeded Hellsbadass and Bianca as the heads of the Council, and they hold great influence over the decisions of the creators of the Modstone, the elusive but powerful Admins, even though they cannot act against their will.
Bishamon had planned his quest step by step, and arranged a meeting with the two leaders. When the day arrived for their meeting, Lawliet and Caliburn decided to take their time off, from talking to marshmallows and biting swords, respectively, to listen to what Bishamon had to say.
Bishamon: *bows head in respect* Heads of the High Council of Moderators, my name is Bishamon Sarutobi. I am the descendant of the Sarutobi family, and I have a matter to discuss with you. *raises head*
Caliburn: Well, since we are here, shoot.
Bishamon: You see, I am an adventurer, I like to chase after even the most senseless and unbelievable things, if they seem worthy of the task, and might prove useful in the future. I am a man of honor, I do not steal, and my entire life I have aided everyone in Naruto Basia. But, now, I think it's time I get my payment for all the years of hard work...
Lawliet: We keep repeating to everyone that comes to our Council, we DO NOT have open spots for Moderators, we cannot recruit you at the moment. We are extremely busy with the possible upcoming civil war and all the spots are filled!
Caliburn: *whispering* What civil war ?
Lawliet: *whispering* Page 1176 of your brief, idiot. It’s supposed to be read, not used as a target practice for your swords.
Caliburn: T_T...Ahem, anyway, let the man finish, Lawliet.
Bishamon: I realize that, but there is also another way for it...
Caliburn: The ModStone?
Bishamon: Exactly! I've come here to seek your bles..
Caliburn: No. We shall not hand out a blessing for fools who chase after myths, many have tried to find the ModStone, none have managed! Our blessings take up energy, and for such a task, it takes quite a lot, we're not flexible enough to give those blessings, especially to the likes of you!
Lawliet: Caliburn covered pretty much everything. So, if that is all... *stands up from the chair* ... we shall take our leave.
Bishamon: No, please, wait! You need to hear my plans! I cannot go very far without your blessing.
Caliburn: That is none of our business, nor something that would concern us in any way. Chasing myths isn't something the High Council of Moderators is planning to do, providing the current circumstances, whatever they are <.< >.>
Bishamon: I understand...
Lawliet: However, this doesn't mean you cannot seek advice from the current Moderators. I am sure they would be of more help than us, our knowledge is generalized, but not diversified enough to know all this information. I am sure that, if you seek the advice of all of the Moderators, they may be able to put you on a straight road to this so called... "ModStone". These being said, Caliburn, we hereby take our leave. Have a good day, Bishamon Sarutobi.
Narrator: Bishamon was devastated. Without their blessing he couldn't go far, his abilities were limited. This required a major change in plans.
In the meanwhile...
Caliburn and Lawliet were walking rushed towards the High Council's headquarters, talking on a very low tone, almost whispering.
Lawliet: He is the third person to chase that myth, do you think there will ever be one to find it?
Caliburn: I'm confident no one will be able to do that. Even if they get close to the ModStone, they wouldn't sense it, not to mention see it, as You-Know-Who planted that visual barrier, which changes the sight of the area in which the ModStone is positioned. It's virtually impossible to find.
Lawliet: This one seemed extremely eager, the other two didn't even seek our blessing, they simply told us and left. Are you sure we should let him go empty-handed, after he almost begged us for a blessing?
Caliburn: Trust me, Lawliet. The likes of him will never survive such a journey, the one closest to ever finding the ModStone was, if you remember Izuna. He somehow bypassed the barrier and almost reached the ModStone, but of course You-Know-Who stopped him. It is passed throughout the Council that Izuna's spirit was sealed into the ground, in front of the cave, thus if someone manages to bypass it, Izuna will rise from the dead, and defend it. Anyway, I’m just glad we sent him to bug the Mods, not us anymore >.> Now, back to my swords ! I’m coming for you, my darlings !!!
Narrator: And so, we find out the two head Moderators lied to Bishamon..
In the meanwhile, at Bishamon's apartment...
Bishamon was holding a necklace tight in his hand, sniffing from time to time.
Bishamon: Izuna, old friend, I will achieve what you wanted all your life, and I will do it for you, because that's why you sacrificed your life for... But first, I need a crew! On a side note, where did Roku go after his first dialogue ? O_O
