This post marks the beginning of my mission using these storyboard elements:

- Meet the shadowy figure behind Strix, and learn about the organization he leads (3)

Summary: Kōtetsu arrives at the Sunlight forge, where he's reunited with Lucifer and Meets Madara Uchiha.

The island Strix leads him to is a place of wonder. The first thing that catches his notice is the snowy landscape, but as they leave the boat he comes to find a wide variety of fauna that couldn't possibly flourish in such a climate, yet here they were, laid out before his very eyes. He almost opens his mouth to ask how, but suddenly thinks back to Phetra and the ability she possessed to warp reality. His escort flashes a smile, one that means to put him at ease, but the Inuzuka could never be at ease around her. He keeps his guard up and his senses trained on the surrounding area.

Kōtetsu nods and follows along as she leads him inland. They pass through fields sparsely littered with trees until they reach the center of the island and a large, ancient stone door that reacts to their presence. It rumbles upon, and after following her inside the Inuzuka is greeted by a clean, brick-lined pathway that leads deeper into a system of tunnels that run directly under the island. He follows her closely as the damp air filled his nose. He disliked being underground, especially after being locked in Irkalla for what seemed like an eternity, but he makes sure not to show his discomfort. They descend quickly and eventually come to a large, hollowed-out chamber that is brightly lit by torches that emit black and white flames, similar to that of the swirling energies in the orb at the base of The Sanguine Maw. The floor of the room shares the same black and white flames, but Kōtetsu pays little attention to it as he comes to see a number of figures in the room.

One of them was Lucifer, the Child of Tiamat who had raided the underworld with him and the other Champions of Humanity, and the second is someone Strix introduces him as Madara and the leader of which she spoke. The man who'd be able to tell him of the part the relic weapons play in the world's current crisis, and just who was responsible for it.

"My name is Kōtetsu, head of the Inuzuka clan." He says as he introduces himself. Strix's movement catches his attention, and even though she tried whispering about the four tails, Kōtetsu was able to overhear due to his enhanced senses. Turning his attention back to Madara the Inuzuka lifts his right arm to show the back of his hand, revealing the black tribal tattoo of a wolf's head where his relic weapon is stored.

Mission: Introduce the newest Relic holder to the Leader and gain his trust to join the Akatsuki

As the boat eventually reached the Sunlit Forge, Strix stood up as her robes flapped in the wind preparing to make her dismemberment onto the island. Despite what the island held she thought it was beautiful in a peaceful way, peaceful, remote, and full of history. As the boat rode up onto the sand, Strix turned to her quarry and smiled gently, the disarming smile of put any fears or tension at ease that he might have about a trap or any kind of attack. She was genuinely happy to have completed her mission, able to serve to be able to be useful and happily contribute towards the progress of the Akatsuki. After losing a village, her identity and finding this new one, she had purpose once again.

Gesturing around, she welcomed him to their secret base.
This... is the Sunlit Forge. An island with history with the world although it may not seem like it. It is here we gather, far off the mainlands to avoid any interlopers. Only those that know where it is can find it. Come, Ill take you inland less you get lost, and introduce you.

Hopping off the boat they would venture in through the jungle along the path till the sound of the beach was lost but the rich smell and sounds of fauna from the island would replace it. Retracing her steps to where they met Basel, the general meeting point in the clearing was where she would hope to find Madara. He hadn't responded but she trusted that he would have seen her message and more than likely would be waiting here for Lucifer to deliver the 4 tails to seal as well. Suspicions confirmed when as they broke through, Madara was standing with Lucifer with the aftermath of some sacrifice.

Turning back to Kotetsu she would inform him of arriving with the others who had been waiting.

We are here, and there is another member who looks to be here as well. If you did have any questions, I'm sure they can fill in the gaps.

Coughing as she walked up to the two to gian their attention, she paused suddenly unsure of how to introduce him...

Madara, this is another Relic Holder, the one found in the Land of Fire earlier. He was unable to come immediately, however it looks like he has had a change of mind and now is interested to meet you...
Turning back towards Kotetsu she said;
This is Madara, the leader and man who will tell you more about what you need to know...

Taking a step back, she shuffled next to Lucifer and whispered quietly;
Was the 4 tails a success?

Lucifer looked on with interest as the new recruit was revealed to be Kotetsu, a fellow champion of humanity who walked beside Lucifer in their fateful journey through the depths of Irkalla.

While the pair no doubt had catching up to do, now was not the moment for that. Madara was the leader of the akatsuki and greeting those who held the relics was his duty. Lucifer instead watched as Kotetsu spoke and Strix shuffled next to the child of Tiamat.

Strix inquired as to his progress with the jinchuriki of the four tails, Lucifer replied to her his voice soft and low as to not interrupt events as they unfolded.

"Yes, the four tails has been sealed away, the former Jinchuriki survived the ordeal and has been returned to the humans. I trust you faced no difficulty in your own task? This man stood with us in the underworld."

Madara was with Lucifer waiting on the duo when Strix entered, pausing momentarily before introducing the man. Madara folded his arms as the man approached, directly introducing himself. At the mention of his name, Madara scoffed, lowering his arms as he spoke.

"You bought me an Inuzuka, Strix?" Madara's discontent was visible, his brow burrowed low as he glared at the man. "I'd assume the Relic was someone else's but I sense it on his being so... welcome to the Sunlit Forge," Madara said, motioning around him as he turns towards the Gedo Statue. Causing it to disperse, Madara turned towards Akujin, communicating with him a set of instructions to follow up on. Prior to departing, Akujin handed Madara his scrolls and nodded his head, taking his leave. With the Akujin on his mission, Madara turned back to the group with him, looking over them each briefly before addressing the newcomer as Lucifer and Strix began to speak.

"It seems Strix convinced you to come along with her, though I wonder how much you're aware of. Do you know why she bought you to me?"

Strix was surprised that another Relic Holder had been in the fight at the Underworld, was there a connection between Lucifer and Kotetsu already? It was good news to hear that Lucifer had completed his task, another step to further the goals of the Akatsuki, and looking to the horizon of where they were going to turn the future.
Turning to reply to Lucifer her brow was furrowed underneath her hat in an annoyed way.

He didnt want to come straight away, had personal matters to attend to. Eventually he came around, my guess is his curiosity piqued and wanted to know more about his weapon and where it came from... I cant speak on his character but he seems to always be on a defensive, tense kind of mood. Never seen him crack a smile the whole way here....

Strix sighed as her attention was turned back towards Madara as he spoke with a look she hadn't seen on him before. Her heart sank, had she failed, was something wrong? Madara's issue seemed to be that he was an Inuzuka... a clan she was somewhat but not overly familiar with. She was about to speak, explaining that he had found the seal somehow, and more than likely it probably could be removed or taken from him, but quickly bit her tongue as Madara continued to question Kotetsu. Standing hunched over, black cloak and black hat covering most of her features, she had turned back into looking like that frail old woman once again.

Madara's visible discontent at the fact that an Inuzuka held a relic weapon naturally didn't sit well with Kōtetsu, who holds the man's gaze as he glares at him. From that simple display, he could already foresee how strained their future relationship would be. As the man asks what brings him to the Forge, he thinks back to the information Strix had given him months ago when she first came to recruit him, about how Madara could share what he knew about the relic weapons and their role.

"I don't know the exact reason why she brought me, but I know it has something to do with the relic weapons," he answers. "She mentioned that you were the leader here, a man of great vision with ambition who seeks to end this assault on humanity, but I'm...unconvinced." He looks the man up and down as he speaks, and this time it was his face that was full of contempt.

He had heard of Madara before. His name was usually spoken in relation to Tanigakure, the large village that shared Zhouhua's eastern border. The same village that, according to intelligence reports from Jin-Roh, was now in the midst of an insurrection that made defending the eastern border even more difficult to defend. He sighs. Now wasn't the time to dwell on those thoughts. He couldn't bring himself to chastise the head of a large power when he was rarely present within his own clan.

"Now that I know who you all are, why don't you tell me what you do as a collective?"

Mission: Sense a great disturbance in the life force while attending the introduction of new Akatsuki.

Lucifer stood silently listening to the chatter between Madara and Kotetsu, it seemed that the leader of the Akatsuki was somewhat displeased with the man due to his lineage. Lucifer found it a little sad how these humans were divided by such small things, it was no doubt a symptom of their separation from the primordial mother, under her embrace all were as one.

Petty divisions aside though, it was a welcome addition to the group, Kotetsu had survived Irkalla which was no small feat and he had came through mortal injuries more than once, if anything could be said about him he was devoted to his goals to come through the jaws of death and keep pushing.

These thoughts swam in the mind of the child of Tiamat but behind them was something else, something felt different, static seemed to run through his mind. Looking around at the others they seemed fine, was this feeling unique, what could be causing it.

Before having another moment to consider an indescribable pain shot through Lucifer, the source of the pain was his ability to sense life, for with Tiamats grace all life was connected to Lucifer and he was connected to all life. Falling to his knees the child of Tiamat yelled in pain and confusion, his every nerve burned and large droplets of sweat pooled on his brow, he felt as though something had been ripped from his being, he had experienced this before when somebody close to him died, but never to this degree or intensity.

"Something, something terrible has happened." He said aloud, his breathing sharp and ragged and his words far less measured than usual.

Lucifer had no idea what had happened exactly, but something had set his life sensory ability into overdrive as though millions of lives linked to the Primordial sea had been torn away in an instant. Thinking back to his last encounter in this place, the void lords had spoken about how death had been removed from the world and their words had held true, until just now it seemed. Was this somehow due to their actions could they profess to be followers of the great mother after undertaking such destruction.

Whatever the truth, Lucifer would no doubt be forever changed by this moment, he had never felt death to such an extent.

It wasn’t long before Madara’s irritation began to mount, the Inuzuka questioning him only serving to annoy him even more. Kotetsu had expressed his own dislike towards Madara as he questioned the group and their goals. It wasn’t an unreasonable question, especially for one who had been summoned from another Country to come speak with a mysterious figure. Still, Madara’s frown turned into a scowl quickly as he began to respond.

“I’ll speak slowly so you can understand… We are the Akatsuki. We defeat and seal Bijuu as we progress towards world peace and defending the world from threats that wish to undo it. All members gain access to a unique weapon crafted for them that can help us on our plans to save mankind. Simple enough for you?”

As he taunted the man, Madara couldn’t help but wonder if he was the original Core discoverer or if he stole it from someone else. If he was the original, it’d help explain how he gained it but if he defeated another ninja for it, then perhaps he was stronger than Madara thought. Before he could ponder more on it, he suddenly became aware of Lucifer screaming out in pain as he dropped, clutching himself. Labored breaths and a pale sweat drenched face stared out, shaking as if his worse nightmares had come true. Madara had never seen Lucifer like this and it was an alarming sight. What could scar a man like that?

Slowly, Kōtetsu was coming to see why the people under Madara had risen up against him, but keeps his thoughts to himself as the man explains about the Akatsuki and their mission of defending the world from threats that sought to hinder their progress towards world peace. He finds it odd that though peace was their ultimate goal they made no move to quell the unrest in Tanigakure, but Lucifer's presence managed to ease some of the doubt in his mind. They had, after all, risked life and limb together in the fight against Phetra in the underworld.

"I see." The Inuzuka's response is a simple one, but that was because he was attempting to decide on the most important questions to pose to the man whose lead he might be following in the future. With the seal engraved on his hand and the Snaguine's Maw in his possession, that meant that he took would be a part of this organization. "With peace being the goal, what's your current course of action to bring this curse of immortality to an e-"

Kōtetsu suddenly chokes on his words at the same time that Lucifer fell to his knees. The myriad of colors that overlay onto his normal few of the world begin to grow pale and dwindle as the visualized scents of numerous people that filled his nose vanish in rapid succession. Overcome by the disorienting display he squeezes his eyes shut to no avail as his breathing becomes labored. His head turns to the south where Toubusekai is located and he watches helplessly as millions of scents disappear before his very eyes.

As the familiar smell of death fills his nose, Kōtetsu answers the question Madara poses to Lucifer. "Death, Madara," He says, eyes full of concern for his own people. "On a massive scale."

Between the 4 of them there was no short supply of tension with the thought of a potential new ally, or an enemy that would need to be taken care of. Happy and peaceful as she was Strix watched carefully to see how Madara would handle the new comer despite showing his disfavour towards him. She had enjoyed Madara's company as he held himself in high regard as a leader should, he was literally a natural born leader as she had read upon the history of his clan while staying in the village. With the addition of a new member to the group, they were certain going to be forming up as a force to be reckoned with if this new comer would be as powerful as Lucifer and Madara. There were till 4 other Bijuu to collect and Strix had no doubt that the new comers first test would be to track it down and subdue it. Though as she pondered this Lucifer dropped, a wave of emotion coming over his as Madara inquired about the sudden change, and the new comer spoke, speaking of death on a massive scale.

It was at this point Dianna materialized next to Strix, a mixed look on her face torn between horror and confusion as she was trying to process something. Strix spoke mentally to Dianna asking her about the events and the look.
What's happened? Death?

Dianna nodded slowly, her fierce warrior demeanour changed to that of a serious look of realization.
Thousands if not millions of lives suddenly shifted to the spirit realm, only, they aren't moving on. Normally when someone dies they proceed to the afterlife to remain, where my original spirit is, but with the afterlife being locked, these spirits have nowhere to go.... they will be roaming the world. This is going to affect the world on a massive scale....

Strix understood mostly what Dianna had said after her own conversations and talks with her, about how the spirit endures eternally, moving from physical to spiritual in the after life. Speaking up, Strix spoke to the group to inform them of the news and to piece together what they all just felt.

The world has suddenly been filled with spirits.... the souls of people who have suddenly died. With so much death on a massive scale, and no afterlife to go to.... these spirits have no where to go but are stuck roaming the world. They are in purgatory here....

Strix needed to consult Dianna on what could be done, or how this would affect the world, though sharing partial glimpses into Dianna's life, this event was unprecedented. She was unsure of how Madara would react or if this would interfere with his plans. So far he was set with his goal on the tailed beasts so there was slim chance the directive would change.

Lucifer felt as though ashes rolled across his tongue, his mouth was dry and breathing ragged, the others answered first for they could sense it too, but none of them could feel it quite like he could.

The sea of life was more than just a weapon that the children could use, it was the source of life and all human life was intrinsically tied to it, however they couldn't feel the connection like Lucifer could. It was immutable the link could be concealed by nothing save death and so much death was impossible to describe.

"It is as they say, thousands..... no millions of people have died all at once. I need to find who was responsible for this, though I fear my initial suspicions will be proven correct." Lucifer coughed out his reply, the shock was fading, being replaced by a rage that burned white hot.

Kotetsu was the first to speak, speaking ominously and gravely as he informed Madara of the deaths that had just occurred. The relegation confused him as the last he knew, Nefarian had removed death from the world. Strix and Lucifer verified what Kotetsu said, causing Madara to become lost in thought quickly.

“But this is….confusing. Nefarian destroyed the Domain of Condition, preventing life from passing. If what you’re saying is correct, then somehow this was reversed. And with the volume that you’re telling me this happened with, then it seems weeks of ignored deaths have just kicked in….. but how? Could Isabella have actually defeated him? No, that couldn’t be it…”

As Madara trailed off thinking aloud, his actual thoughts were permeated by a stray thought about the possibility that Nefarian was actually defeated. Two, maybe three, down… The invasive thought disappeared as quickly as it came and thought Madara had committed himself to the plan, he couldn’t help but notice a fleeting feeling of smugness at the thought. Shaking his head, he turned back to the group.

“Whatever it was that caused it, I don’t know but I do know that means things are becoming even more dangerous. The battle for this world’s future is only beginning and we need to seal the rest of those beasts before it’s too late for humanity’s sake.” Madara crossed his arms again, looking at the other 3. Strix and Lucifer had managed to defeat a Tailed Beast each, helping him progress his plans quicker. The 5 Tails was likely to be roaming the Badlands somewhere, not far from where the 4 Tails was.

“The 5 Tails needs to be apprehended swiftly, though it’s power is immense and it won’t be an easy feat.” Looking at Kotetsu, Madara spoke directly to him. “Well Inuzuka, it’s time to see what you got. Do you think you can capture the 5 Tails? I’ll answer whatever questions or comments you may have then.”

The sudden mention of the five tails brings to the surface memories that he'd been suppressing for the past eleven years. Memories of the fateful night the capital city of Chungsu was burned to the ground by the nine-taled fox as he watch from the basement cell he'd been imprisoned in. He wasn't sure how the tailed beasts were involved in the sudden death of millions, but them were threats that needed the be dealt with sooner rather than later. The fact that Madara would only answer his question upon the successful capture of the tailed beast meant that he had no chance but to apprehend it. It would be challenging, but a welcomed one.

"There is no call to hunt that I do now answer, Madara," He says. "All you need to do is let me know where I can find it."

Madara nodded, the response the Inuzuka gave being one he liked. “Very well. Search around the Darkcloud Peak in the Badlands. You may come across a lot of steam or mist in an area - that should be an indicator that the Beast is nearby.”

As he spoke, he looked over to Lucifer and Strix. “Oh, and Strix: Keep an eye on this one, I wouldn’t want our new ally to end up in the pound somewhere,” Madara retorted, suggesting Strix accompany Kotetsu on his journey. “It may prove useful to learn more about your new partner as well.”

Strix perked up listening to Madara address the newcomer, curious to see what job or test he may be give and her assumptions were right. He was to target the 5 Tails quickly, defeat it and bring it back to be sealed for Madara, and the response was that befitting of a hunter or rather what she had expected from the Inuzuka. Although he was rough looking, it was almost like a pride that he was given the task. It was then he called to Strix to join and follow him, as her heart sunk. She wanted to spend more time with Lucifer and get to know him, wanting to learn more about his life and his past because to her, he was a beautiful and curious specimen.

Biting her tongue holding back against better judgement she took a breath.
Yes Lord Madara, I will....accompany him....
With a defeated sunken heart she stood back up from her seated position and brushed off the disposition and smiled towards Kotetsu.
Alrighty, when you're ready we can head off! If its over in the Badlands, we could check out the Marketplace in Tsumigakure for info....
She trailed off... the last time she was in Tsumigakure, she didn't exactly have a good presence, but left after causing chaos and fun.
On second thought we probably wouldn't be welcome there, so we could could travel to the Markets in the north first to see if any rumours were flying about? I don't think the beast would be within the lands of Tsumigakure, more likely hiding to the north east I think in the remote regions...

It wasn't that she was afraid of going back to the marketplace, but rather she was embarrassed of what she had done. No regrets, more of an indulgence and she took it too far. It was a lot of fun buuut it drew too much attention to herself. As she threw her back over her shoulder, she wondered what Kotetsu would want to do.

Lucifer regained his composure slowly as Madara tasked the others with capturing the next Bijuu. The child of Tiamats thoughts were swimming, he had to know who or what was responsible for this genocide, his mind turned to the person who had given him answers many times already.

Solomon the former king was one of Lucifer's oldest allies and most trusted advisors, if anyone had knowledge of this calamity it would be him. Lucifer would seek him out but first he sought to help his allies leave.

"Decide on a marketplace, and I can open a gateway there and save you some time, its a long journey to the badlands from here."

Kōtetsu ignores Strix's ramblings about Tsumigakure and them possibly being unwelcome. He went where he pleased and would simply dispatch anyone who dares to stand in his way. He turns to Lucifer as he offers to open a gateway directly to the Badlands of Earth, piquing the Inuzuka's curiosity. "We can make our way to Tsuchi Heihō," the Inuzuka replied. "It's fairly close to Darkcloud Peak in the Badlands of Earth"

"Tsuchi Heiho, I'm familiar with the location, give me a moment" Lucifer stated as he raised his right arm, the kama activating within his body its black markings snaked across his body and a small horn jutted from his forehead between his other two giving it the shape of a crown almost.

From his hand erupted a rift of purple, its energies coalesced as Lucifer visualised the destination within his minds eye. Mere moments passed before the portal stabilised, he beckoned Strix and Kotetsu to walk through the portal to Tsuchi Heiho.

( Shiroki Kāma ) - White Karma
Type: Mode
Rank: S
Range: Short
Chakra: 80 for level 1, 100 for level 2.
Damage: ( Varies depending on Level )
Description: Kāma, a seal that normally serves as a compressed backup of an Ōtsutsuki that they can embed in the body of a chosen recipient to transform into should they sustain fatal injuries, is capable of being placed on entities that are not considered proper vessels. Such individuals are unable to serve as a receptacle for the Ōtsutsuki's soul and thus cannot be used for the process of reincarnation, but retain its other traits, gaining tremendous power and abilities. When activated, this White Kāma significantly enhances the user's physical abilities and power as well as allows the usage of Kāma Rift as well as Nesaku. They can also make use of Kāma to absorb enemy's attacks like ninjutsu and large-scale explosions. Unlike the normal seal, this variant only has 2 levels, differentiated between the power gain and the manifestion of a horn that grows across their head similar to a headband but spiked in the middle, extending over the top of the head towards the spine.
  • Level 1: The lowest level, this version simply creates black markings across the user's body, and increases all of their Ninjutsu and Taijutsu by +20. This level also allows the user to cause explosions of built up chakra and allows the user the ability to absorb Ninjutsu containing up to 40 chakra regardless of rank up to 3 times ( once per turn ). The user gains a doubled speed boost as well as a durability capable of reducing 20 damage from techniques. He also becomes capable of healing 10 damage per turn.
  • Level 2: This level, containing the same markings as before but with them now stretching up the arm and allowing the user to grow a small horn, likewise allows the user to increase their physical attacks and Ninjutsu by +30. Their Kāma now allows the user the ability to absorb any Ninjutsu of 50 chakra and below regardless of rank up to 3 times ( once per turn ) and the use of Kāma Rift. The user gains a 3x speed boost as well as a durability capable of reducing 30 damage from techniques. He also becomes capable of healing 15 damage per turn.
Note: Kāma cannot absorb non-chakra based physical matter, such as non chakra based viruses or natural existing water from a river being manipulated, thus becoming a vulnerability towards such attacks and weapons.
Note: Only Custom Characters with Kāma can use this.
Note: Can only be activated a max of 3 times. Level 1 lasts up to 5 turns while Level 2 can only be used a max of 4 turns. Collectively, this technique can only last a max of 7 turns each use before timing out.
Note: After absorption, the user is only able to use 2 jutsu the next turn.

( Kāma Hame ) - Karma Rift
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: Short - Long
Chakra: 50
Damage: N/A
Description: This technique is a Space–Time Ninjutsu used by those with access to Kāma. The user creates a rift, which allows anyone enveloped to transfer to a chosen location including foreign dimensions. The rift's formation is fast enough to catch targets off guard and transport them alongside the user, as well as to evade attacks from enemies at the last moment. Two Kāma recipients can collaboratively manifest the rift from their marks to bypass barriers. The rift's formation is fast enough for catch targets off guard, teleporting as close as 5 meters away and if in contact with them, transport them alongside himself when teleporting.
Note: Can only be used once every 2 turns and requires Kāma to be active.
Note: Can only be used by Kawaki, Boruto, Jigen and custom bios with White Kāma
Note: Can only be used 3 times in Level 2 and 5 times in Level 3.

Kōtetsu watches as the black markings spread across Lucifer's pale skin and he produces a rift shortly afterwords. It was a convenient ability and one he was unaware that the Child of Tiamat possessed. Space-Time techniques were always of great interest to the Inuzuka, but now wasn't the time to discuss the intricate workings of the rift anomoly before him.

"Thank you, Lucifer," he says as he moves towards the open rift. "When next we meet, the five tails will be in my possession." Without a hint of hesitation he steps through the portal, giving Strix not even so much as a glance as he fully expects the woman to follow behind him

Well... it wasn't off to a great start, her 'partner' already ignoring her and just moving forward without even communicating with her. It irked her the wrong way that he wouldn't even talk with her despite her actually bringing him here to get answers. Sure he had to prove himself first, but at least he would be getting more answers than he would on his own.

Thanks Lucy, hopefully catch up soon.

With a salute to Lucifer she turned to walk through the portal and with a sigh, she passed through.

"Good luck on your hunt, both of you." Lucifer stated coolly as the pair departed, his portal snapping shut behind them, however his own journey was just starting. He turned to face Madara and spoke once more.

"I must seek answers, I hold no particular love for you humans individually but this genocide has dealt a blow against life itself, the life my mother gifted to all, this is an affront of unimaginable scale. The mage king will have answers about this, if there's one thing that impassive old king has, it's knowledge. I will return here when I have completed this task."
