The strongest hokage?

I had always thought minato was the strongest hokage till i knew how strong the first was but a thought came into my mind where oro summoned the first and second hokage & sarutobi had to fight them alone.
My point is since sarutobi defeated them (at the cost of his life) isn't he kinda the strongest but he was alive while minato was appointed hokage (even the jutsu he used was the fourths' jutsu)meaning the fourth seemed/is stronger...so idk what do you think.

Well They did say something about the 3rd being the strongest in the village.Considering both the hokages chose him, he has to be atleast at the level of the 1st and 2nd. Although, I think no one can equal the 1st power.

At first I though the the 1st was the strongest since he beat madara and the nine-tailed fox both at full strenght and The 4th bearly beat madara in his weakened form. But now that we have learned madara lost the battle willingly I can easly say the 4th was the strongest.

2nd hokage gave birth to imperial resurrection by far the strongest, considering his brother is the 1st hokage, minato is is strong considering his teleportation justu, but i don't think hes stronger then either of the brothers.

The strongest jutsu Minato had was the Space time ninjutsu, The second hokage also used that. The second hokage invented IWR. And the 1st and the second did't "choose" Sarutobi, the second used himself as a decoy with the price of his life so his student could get away, one of those was Saru. First of all, Kabuto's IWR is stronger than Orochimaru's ever was, and second of all, it may have been a person who can reveal information he doesn't want out in the public. There are many reasons that Tobi may have been so terrified by the resurrection.

its a difficult question but id say 2nd hokage seeing as he invented IWR and a teleportation ninjutsu... but hashirama had wood style and could tame the tailed beasts without the sharingan... and sarutobi was said to have mastered all the hidden leaves jutsu's aside from kekkei genkai of course and then there was minato who actually TELEPORTED the nine tails beast bomb and beat da hell out of madara and sealed away his soul with the nine tails and then sealed the other half in naruto even with a giant tail through him
