Once again, to the author, I commend your time and research behind the theory. You have addressed many myths/figures that were incorporated into the manga, from the Buddhist elements in the rinnegan, to the Shinto elements in the sharingan. I also agree that Obito actions are leading to one of worldwide destruction or worldwide peace, though I disagree that he is the one becoming a God. You mentioned Hindu in your theory, and that is a very useful piece to the puzzle.
Hinduism came before Buddhism, and Shinto came after that. Using this as a basis, I propose the following: the ten tails will represent Hinduism, the sage of the six paths represents both the man who broke away from Hinduism and started Buddhism (his powers, specifically, representing Buddhism,) and the Uchiha and Senju clans represent the current dualist nature of religion in Japan day, Shinto and Japanese Buddhism respectively. This makes more sense to me, as then we can truly see the ten tails as neither good or evil, but rather a deity that creates or destroys at its own discretion (Brahma the creator and Shiva the destroyer being the two extremes.) In the beginning there was the Juubi (Hinduism) and all of its worshippers. One man broke away/opposed this, that man being the sage of six paths, the same as the original Buddha broke away from Hinduism and spread his own teachings. This is all historical things in the ninja world, so I will fast forward to the current timeline in the story.
Obito and Madara are two men born into the Uchiha (Shinto) that acquired Senju (Japanese Buddhism) abilities, leading to an awakening of the rinnegan (original Buddhism,) in addition to the power to control the ten tails (Hinduism.) Obito and Madara are the ones proposing the eye of the moon plan, and Obito does seem eager to access Naruto's answers. However, I believe he is more indirectly testing Naruto. He does still see himself in Naruto, and is using the ten tails (and the fourth ninja world war as a whole) as the ultimate stage to get the answer to his unspoken question "which of my ideals are correct, the present or the past.)
