The Spiraled Man. Why 603 showed it is NOT Obito.

First of all, I am not trying to start a heated argument with people who guessed Tobi=Obito ( I was not one of them) but yes you were right...sort of

This last chapter shed light on a lot of questions. Looking around the base at people's responded it seems most people have picked up on some key aspects, but I want to share why I THINK this last chapter showed that Tobi does not equal Obito, at least not completely, most, if not all of the actions Tobi has taken has been this sprial guy and not Obito. Though I am unsure if Obito is aware and on board or if he has no control of the situation. I am going to start from the most recent chapters and work my way back

Ill start here...

Here, it shows that the Spiral Guy is still alive, in fact I believe Madara is directly refering to him. However, throughout the chapter Madara refers to Obito as Obito so this makes me believe that Obito is in there and is well aware of what is going on. The statement, "well..it is you" is definitely referring to that Spiral Guy though.

I can't decide if this page backs up my theory, but it is definitely relevant. I have seen people talking about how that Spiral Guy might be Madara some how or that black zetsu is Madara... but one thing I am sure of is that the Spiral Guy is not just an ordinary Zetsu, but I dont know what he is.

This page confuses me a bit now. If that Spiral Guy is in control, then he has his own consiousness, and may not just be Madara's zombie. Of course, Kabuto could be wrong, or Obito could just be defying Madara on his own, but this page really makes me think about that Spiral Guy and his motives...If he even has any.

Then there is the Minato fight. Yes, the Minato fight that people seem to be heavily debating now. This was ABSOLUTELY the spiral guy and ONLY the spiral guy.

As many have pointed out. It was atleast not Obito's entire body in that fight. I think Kishi made it a point to have Tobi's left arm damaged in that fight, because as we've seen only his right side should be made of hashi goo (yep).

That is black there, which indicates blood. Minato's strike damaged the Spiral Guy and got through to Obito, this is always why a direct hit from a rasengan didn't kill or immobilize Tobi like it did Pain, because pretty much that entire body was the spiral guy at the time.

This page confirms it for me

"Do you have ANY idea how long I've waited for this moment?"

This was roughly a couple years AT MOST after Obito went missing (Im sure some one knows the exact time). There is no way these words came from Obito's mouth, this was that spiral guy hands down, it is obvious.

In conclusion
The minute Obito put on that suit he began his descent. We have seen the masks change throughout the story. This is not a coincidence, they arent just some pretty accessory Tobi puts on in the morning to make himself look pretty. The masks represents that spiral guys take over of Obito's body. That is why during the Kyuubi attack and Uchiha Massacre the mask's sprials are not complete. As we delve further into the story the masks sprials become more and more complete, signifying the Spiral Guys complete take over of "Tobi". That is why he is no one. He is either that Spiral Guy who has no identity or he is two personalities in one, there for also has no identity...He is no one

Question if you made it through this. Is that Spiral Guy some one we know, just another clone or something completely different?

His name is Poozetsu. I think it was Obito just that his mask was a idea from the spiral because of his ST.

"Do you have ANY idea how long I've waited for this moment?"

Okay, but then why would Obito say this?

He's waited for this moment because he wants revenge on the leaf because Rin died. Zetsu only said Kakashi and Rin are surrounded by Mist ninja, just two of them which means Konoha put them on a mission leading them there. Obito waited a long time to kill Minato's family or at least extract the Kyuubi from Kushina. He's pissed at Minato because he wasn't there to save Obito.

I read all of it. I agree with you to some extent, except for the part where Obito is not aware. I think the Spiral Zetsu just had a really big influence on him, and by being his body, he is constantly talking into Obito's ear(metaphorically of course). Also, I think Obito considers the Zetsu's his friends or something similar, he did practically grow up with them, and they are the one's that keep him alive. He is part Zetsu! Aside from those things, you are right, the guy that fought Minato was Obito inside the spiral Zetsu and they may have their own personalities. +rep

I get this, and I get where youre coming from. But "do you have any idea how LONG..." In Obito's terms this was not long after Rin died. Or it seems that way...

Are you referring to the Masked Guy who fought Minato? That was not Obito. It's Zetsu's as Madara posing as TOBI. just look at his mask and you'll see the difference. and, when he was hit by minato's rasengan, you will see that his left arm was torn apart oozing white substance. that proves his not obito.

Just accept it. This is Obito.

Spiral dude is nothing but a model for Obito's future self.

Yeah you make a really good point. At some point later on I think he will start to become friendly with the Zetsu's and that spiral guy. Maybe thats why they didnt intend to revive Madara, they became so close that they didnt see him as necassary anymore...

You can see Obito's hair when he wears the mask.

/thread

I dont get this?

Edit: Ohh okay I see what youre saying. When he is shown last chapter, the suit covers his hair. The more he wears it the more it will mold to his body, it wont look like that after awhile, at least thats what I think...

That makes sense. I think that obito was the one that was saying "Tobi is a good boy", and that the spiral zetsu is the one with the deep voice.
