He dodged most of the strikes, I think that KO punch just caught him off guard. I know that Anderson and possibly the UFC lost a lot of fans last night.

I'm a Silva fan but I have to admit he was a step slower. His age has finally caught up to him. If only he respected his opponent striking skills more, he wouldn't have been KOed like that.

He really wasn't a step slower. He was clearly faster than Weidman but if you constantly taunt with your hands down, eventually you're going to get caught. If he took his opponent more seriously (or even if he actually did want to win)....Weidman would have had to work way harder for a KO.

Anderson Silva has every right to be cocky. He did hold the longest title defense streak in UFC history with 16 consecutive wins. He is a very good fighter but i agree that he did get too cocky and left his hands down for more then he needed and got caught.
