The eyes of jyuubi resemble sharingan and rinnegan and seems to be an unkown dojutsu. The jyuubi also seems quite humanoid.

It also seems that jutsu's of the sage's decendents specialize in capturing/fighting tailed beasts.

Susano-o seems to be created to fight bijuu (because of its power) like wood style and its ability to restrain them. The uzumaki clan could also create jinchuriki with their superior kinjutsu.

We also know the so6p became the first jinchuriki. My theory is that, using his powers, the sage split himself into an evil beast(if it was truely evil) and the sage we know now Then trying to fix his mistake he tried to become one again with the beast. It didn't work, so the sage split the beast again before he passed away and hoped they would find happiness.I also think that the sage's sons were really fighting over tailed beasts and this fighting carried on through generations and eventually the fight came between Madara and Hashirama.

The sage's jutsu's and resemblence to ten-tails proves a connection. What do you think?

Wtf? Why would he create something that could potentially destroy the Universe? And, where did he get the kind of Chakra to give form to such a powerful beast?

So the Sage and the Juubi are like Piccolo and Kami from DBZ? A very interesting theory, +rep.

He is the Sage of the Six Paths...
Well yes, but I assume he achieved this Chakra when he sealed the Juubi's Chakra within him. There is no way a normal, human man like the SOT6P (he was only regarded as a God after beating the Juubi) could create such a thing. Impossible.

How could he have defeated the Juubi without immense chakra himself? He was a god beforehand too.

Nice theory +rep. (I still think that the 9tomoe-Rinnegan in the Juubi's eye is just a symptom of it being controlled via genjutsu)

Anyway, I have my own crazy theory on the origins of the Juubi. I think where the Juubi comes from might somehow related to Daoist Philosophy or something. I'm not sure at all, but I think there's something in Daoism about balance within nature concerning good and evil.

The Juubi might be a natural manifestation meant to restore balance to nature, with respect to good and evil. I think the Yin-Yang symbol symbolizes this concept.

Maybe the SO6P disturbed the balance by having too much success towards achieving peace. Thus resulting in a world where there is more good than evil. Hence, enter the Juubi. Nature's way of achieving balance again.

Yeah , I also think , that the 9 tomoe sharinnegan on Juubi is the mark being controlled VIA genjutsu.

Also , when Juubi appeared , I think , that it caused unbalance in the normal nature.

Maybe that's why it was sealed or restrained.

The way how Juubi appeared or was created is still a mystery.

But Kurama knows how it all started , the Sage must have told them I think long long time ago.

First off, great thread. I've defended the idea that the sage might have created the Juubi for a long time. I personally think its the most logical explanation as to how the Juubi came to be, much better than a standard 'came into existence' explanation.

@ Logic, don't assume he needed Juubi level chakra to create the Juubi.... thats a terrible assumption.

Keep in mind that the SO6P had rinnegan.... meaning he could essentially create anything. We know he was capable of the full on 'creation of all things' tech so he could theoretically create anything he desired right? Also, its not as if he was capable of understanding his own limits 100%. I mean its very possible that the Juubi was perhaps an experiment gone wrong, isn't it?
