So, as it's already been agreed upon on narutobase, Sasuke's hawk obviously has Rinnegan. I'd like to present my theory explaining how that happened.
The Uchiha tablet mentions the Sage having 2 sons - an Uchiha and a Senju. But many things point to the fact the Uzumakis might be related to the Sage as well. This is where the hawk comes into play.
Obviously, the So6P had 3 sons - Uchiha, Senju and the Rinnehawk. As the firstborn, the Rinnehawk inherited both Uchiha and Senju powers and thus also the Rinnegan. Then, he had a child with a human, giving birth to a half-human-half-hawk. That son had a child with another human, resulting in birth of a 3/4-human-1/4-hawk. And so it went on, giving rise to the Uzumaki clan, whose members with each generation asymptotically aproach becoming human. The relation to hawks also explains the weird marks on Naruto's face.
