So Kishimoto is taking a subtle Sasuke/Naruto theme with Boruto and Sarada.

I did make a thread that Boruto would be Sarada's rival eventually.

If Boruto becomes a Sasuke in their relationship, then granted Sarada will appear inferior in this fight, but capable. The next fight, however, will definitely show Sarada's far more capable than Boruto, and the next one after that Sarada destroys Boruto, and we'll finally come to our senses that Sarada truly solos.

God, I'm hyped. I'm even rumbling nonsense, but damn, this episode is going to be lit.

Boruto fans will certainly be on the edge of their seats when they watch this one. :Sparks:

Just hope it lasts more than at least 5 minutes. So we can get something solid on their relative strength.

But what I'm afraid of is that could actually turn out to be detrimental to their progress.

If they're all supporting each other, then what will give them the same drive Sasuke/Naruto had? At least Sakura had a drive - to catch up to her teammates.

Mitsuki, on the other hand, is already way far ahead of them and thus has no goal of surpassing anyone in particular, and will more than likely stay like that for most of the series.

Boruto also seems to be on the safe side with how he's already out-shining Sarada, and he probably wouldn't really care if she was showing better progress. He's already surpassing everyone with ease, so for Boruto, there probably won't be any competition in particular for a while, unless Kawaki is inaugurated sooner.

Sarada will probably be the only one with a competitive attitude, but she's apparently not so concerned about Boruto in relation to her own progress.

So within the whole team, there's no existing competitive atmosphere, and this will most likely stunt their growth. As a result, Kishimoto will be forced to give them power-ups instead of have them train to get stronger since they won't be that determined to surpass anyone in particular.

I honestly don't know how the author will make this work without any competition, substantial or subtle.

I expect Sarada to win because Boruto hasn't even learned the Rasengan or his elemental natures, and Sarada is probably training hard. Even if they tie that'll be weird.

We have Kara I think against them the team shows their abilities like it was with Sasuke and Naruto against Haku

When does Boruto actually learn 3 elemental natures, within how long, just weeks? This smells of Sasuke.

Shadow clones are actually versatile. Too versatile, in fact. You saw what he could do when he got serious against Hanabi, and that was a CQC 'against a Hyuuga.'

I don't even need to delve into how Naruto's capability shot up the roof the moment he learned the technique. Not to mention, Boruto's proficiency with said technique is already approaching Rasenshuriken-training-Naruto. He can already use clones to merge thoughts to enhance his ability to comprehend complex problems.

This is not me trying to advocate Sarada in case she loses, but you're under-estimating the shadow clone technique, which is by far the most simple-complex jutsu in the Naruto series. And I personally believe he could be pretty hard to beat down if he uses it seriously. Albeit Sarada should be able to handle him /w Sharingan precognition. If she gets serious when Boruto does.

I also want her to win. So I'll use that against Boruto fans.

If there's any time to tell whether this series really does wank Boruto excessively, it's now. We'll see if Boruto manages to defeat Sarada who has more feats at this point in the Anime.
