Why? Does my differing opinion offend you? Welcome to the world, my friend.

*Thread says the "Sage's very existence irks me"*
I get the notion that you are an intelligent troll. Why? Does my differing opinion offend you? Welcome to the world, my friend.
You've read way too much Greek mythology my friend. When the rinnegan was shown, Kishi flat out said through characters that it was the eye of the sage if six paths. That doesn't mean Kishi has to show the guys' entire backstory for the rinnegan to be valid. It literally means, the sage has these eyes.

I'm hoenstly not. I'm a person who loved this story leading up until the end of the Pain arc, after which I feel the manga was artificially extended to make more money.
And the Greeks said that the Lighting was Zeus'! That doesn't mean that the lighting was actually Zeus'! Zeus was a legend that these people believed in to explain something they didn't know the answer to. The Sage existed at first to fill the same roll. In reality, this mad the Rinnegan much more mysterious, and that was better thematically. You can't take what characters say literally. They're not perfect and all knowing, and they say things that are wrong all the time.
If the manga stopped there, there would be more plot holes than there are now.
What you're trying to say is something that should have been said several arc's ago. I understand what yore saying and in some way you're correct. However, we are way too far along in the story to even acknowledge what you say.
how is it shit its probably the best thing watch pain arc over again Nagato states he was real and was a decendant of him so how is it bs
Why you keep picking on the Sage? Lmao he ain't bothering nobody. Just giving out free power ups that's all.
I'm not saying it should have stopped right at the end of it. I'm saying that everything was leading up to it, and that it needed about 2 arcs to form a falling action (including Sasuke vs. Naruto, ending in Sasuke's tragic death that motivates Naruto to advocate even harder for general peace). Obviously some things needed to be cleaned up, but the majority of the plot leading up to that point was concluded with Pain's death. The oro line would have been concluded, the Akatsuki would be dead. The only real mystery left would be Tobi's identity, and I honestly think that leaving that as ambiguous would be best. Just have him as a vengeful Uchiha who Itachi missed. It would be a lot more effective.
And I disagree. It's not like we're actually in the modern day of Naruto. We can go back and critique old stuff, it's how we learn. And I usually don't get pissed off about elements until I see them fail. I was on board with the World War until I saw what it became.
