It was deleted for a reason. Pm a mod if you're so concerned.

I don't care about that thread. That's not the point I'm trying to make. If you don't understand, please reread my original post.

Absolutely general and baseless statement.

Nowadays, just saying "X>Z" counts as character bashing, this character bashing criteria is a friggin' joke.

Not really. It isn't baseless because most of the time it's bashing.

If you find it a joke make a suggestion and lets see what the mods say.

Really? The proof of your statement is repeating the statement? It's not mostly character bashing because a lot of what people call character bashing isn't even character bashing. Like I said, lots of people here are like children scared of conflict, debating and arguing is scary, so instead it's snuffed out. God forbid everyone doesn't agree on everything.

I'm pretty sure quite a few people here are aware I find how this site is run and some of the decisions made is in of itself a joke, so that'd be absolutely useless. Can't believe someone who's been here as long as you still thinks "Make a suggestion thread" does a thing.

Let me see let's read the thread name.

You know naruto fans and sasuke fans always argue with each other. He clearly didn't make this thread for a honest discussion. The thread was trying to start a argument.

You guys could've easily pm a mod by now but nope lets waste time arguing about how it isn't fair.

Well props for Ira. But the majority of time they aren't doing it.
Mines was deleted without a reason being said, then when i reposted the same thread mentioning how it was deleted without a reason being given - the thread was deleted and i got an explanation via Infraction.

How am i suppoused to know who to VM,who closed it? From asking random mods who may or may not be on? I found out who closed it from seeing her close multiple other threads which shutted down alot of discussions.

I don't care about that thread. That's not the point I'm trying to make. If you don't understand, please reread my original post.

Uner the section "trolling /troll threads", there's no description of what a troll thread actually is. Instead, it's a few paragraphs describing why trolling is annoying and how it increases mods work

I like that part. It seems like mods are trying to explain how trolling effects them personally. It makes them seem less... Robotic

Are the mods being intentionally vague? Or do they not realize how empty that section of the rules really is?

If the first is right, that's kind of unfair because it means that whether someone is trolling or not is entirely subjective. What one mod considers trolling another might not but they can still close/delete it.

Theoretically, that means mods have unlimited power and are free to take any action should they consider a post "trolling" which again Is completely subjective

If you can't look up the definitions for those words then I don't know why you're complaing.

You guys clearly know what's trolling and what is annoying. Saying itachi is the solo king for the thread title and writing 2 sentences

Is annoying and trolling

This is so self explanatory

How about the mods write paragraphs for every one so people can comprehend :|

Due to having my legitimate threads closed regularly, I decided to, you know, actually read the rules. What I found was interesting.

Under the section "trolling /troll threads", there's no description of what a troll thread actually is. Instead, it's a few paragraphs describing why trolling is annoying and how it increases mods work

I like that part. It seems like mods are trying to explain how trolling effects them personally. It makes them seem less... Robotic

My suggestion is to simply make the definition of trolling more clear

Thanks for reading

Sincerely, solo king

Rules are not written by me- I would myself like to detail them a bit but Admins believe that too long a list means people won't read it at all so you get a general idea of what not to do and are expected to use some common sense from then on.

Trolling : Any thread or post which is made only to stir trouble for lulz, is attacking another member or a group of member personally, spamming the same topic over and over and trying to shut other opinions or breaking any other forum rules deliberately is included in it. Most of such threads are pretty obvious to spot by experienced forum members. If in doubt report it anyway and a mod will check it out.

One important point is to remember that no matter how detailed rules are, there is always someone trying to find a loophole and bypass it. So mods are given discretionary powers to deal with such situations and they can make a ruling whether there is a stated rule about it or not. If you think the mod on spot made a mistake you can contact them or a gmod and if it was a gmod you can contact an admin for review.

Your sig exceeds the allowed limit of 600 x 300.

And he is ignoring messages about it....

The thing is you shouldnt care about the mods they do what they want you cant do anything about it bruh. It's called "Power"

Yawn*

I officially hate the mods. i won't ever go to them with my problems. you bring up something to them and get banned. They have too much descretion. I mentionted that things need to be more black in white because i don't trust mod descretion, so they used their "descretion" and banned me. again. **** mods

Lol your sig is absolutely stupid

OK...

And still double posting...

Keep hating. Must be very productive.

Which is pretty stupid, why do you need to punish the OP who took time to create a legit thread where little kids just come and spam?

If it's attracting stupid , pointless annoying posts then the thread has already lost it's purpose. Though if it's someone deliberately trying to sabotage a thread which has a legit discussion and mod have time they may try to keep it up. But if it's a topic already posted several times or too much spammed then it's not worth it. ( Such members do get infracted/banned if mods notices that they spammed it deliberately. )

They do that anyway because they have to infract. They have to scour the thread, reading the posts to find who did what and how much of what they did to find the suitable punishment. They could temporarily lock the thread, and instead of deleting the entire thread, delete the troll posts and keep the legit ones. They pretty much have to read it all anyways when handing out infractions, might as well do something to not ruin it for everyone.

It's not possible to read them all, all the time....

I doubt he was trying to start a flame war.It was a response to this thread, which was closed.

If it wasn't closed then he would have replied there.

That's was the whole damn point of closing that thread!! To drop that line of argument. If it's closed do not start the topic again or why would the first one be closed in the first place.

I actually have seen Ira do that before. It's a shame it's not done more often, especially with the abundance of mods they have.

It consumes too much time. :(

True to an extent. Some people think anything negative equals bashing ...but more often than not it depends on how one phrases it.

It is classed as character bashing when a member or a group of fans are hostile to a particular character and express their dislike through posts, icons, and other fan activities.

Depicting the character as a terrible person, or making them extremely dogmatic or cruel,( when the author didn't intend or tried to make them so) using them for bleak comedy, death wishes, derogatory nicknames and epithets, and other expressions of hate fall under bashing. It ups the scale when people are intent on humiliating specific characters, as well as the entire fandoms.

But it brings me back to OP:

We cannot define every situation in rules and mods have to make a judgement call at times based on their discretion and understanding of the situation. They do it in interest of the forum and masses. If you disagree you can ask for a review. But make sure it's not just because you want to have your way. For the decision will be changed only if that mod made a technical error in making that decision or missed something important while making that decision or moderated something accidentally.

You can complain to a higher mod or admins but at the end of the day if the staff and admins are sure about a decision you will have to accept it.
