[Suggestion] The rules don't define what trolling is at all.. Perhaps they should

Due to having my legitimate threads closed regularly, I decided to, you know, actually read the rules. What I found was interesting.

Under the section "trolling /troll threads", there's no description of what a troll thread actually is. Instead, it's a few paragraphs describing why trolling is annoying and how it increases mods work

I like that part. It seems like mods are trying to explain how trolling effects them personally. It makes them seem less... Robotic


Are the mods being intentionally vague? Or do they not realize how empty that section of the rules really is?

If the first is right, that's kind of unfair because it means that whether someone is trolling or not is entirely subjective. What one mod considers trolling another might not but they can still close/delete it.


Theoretically, that means mods have unlimited power and are free to take any action should they consider a post "trolling" which again Is completely subjective


My suggestion is to simply make the definition of trolling more clear

I officially hate the mods. i won't ever go to them with my problems. you bring up something to them and get banned. They have too much descretion. I mentionted that things need to be more black in white because i don't trust mod descretion, so they used their "descretion" and banned me. again. **** mods

It doesn't mater if you're thread was sincere and legit. If people are spamming on the thread constantly, and breaking the rules. The thread will be closed.

Ask a moderator in that section why your thread was closed. Its really not difficult.

Would you like to moderate every comment somebody posted in the thread that broke the rules?

If the thread is filled with spam the main discussion or point of the thread has been overlooked. Threads are made to discuss a topic not spam about stupid things. If you want threads like that go to the chatterbox or fourms game.

If you have a problem with a mod closing your thread, pm a moderator in that section asking why it was closed.

They do that anyway because they have to infract. They have to scour the thread, reading the posts to find who did what and how much of what they did to find the suitable punishment. They could temporarily lock the thread, and instead of deleting the entire thread, delete the troll posts and keep the legit ones. They pretty much have to read it all anyways when handing out infractions, might as well do something to not ruin it for everyone.

And some threads are just bait threads. They serve no purpose but to start conflicts between the fan basses. Those threads are closed instantly

This is a problem here. People seem to think that a discussion is good, and arguments are bad. The thing is, it isn't so. Arguments and debates aren't a bad thing, they're a type of discussion. People here are so scared of any kind of friction, they wanna be treated like children. A thread of people arguing and debating is not a bad thing, a thread of insults is. You can have arguing/debating without insults, and it'd be fine, but mods and members are getting too lazy to distinguish between the two and lump them together.

Nowadays, just saying "X>Z" counts as character bashing, this character bashing criteria is a friggin' joke.
