Well right now the fillers are enjoyable and doing better than the manga but for those who despise fillers, It's not like the worldwide naruto audience has a say in anything, most overseas naruto fans are watching on illegal sites. So until that changes you guys are gonna continue being the Japanese audiences' *****es because THEY decide when the filler stops and from the looks of things they don't really mind fillers.

I'm glad to say that i haven't seen naruto anime in 2 years.
Its surprising that this is their most profitable anime for their company but they dont put some of that money for better visuals and quality animations.

Bullshit series.

Milking it for no reason they still have to animate gaiden and Boruto manga. But fillers is stopping them from doing it. I mean really we had filler then 1 canon episode then filler again.

It could be worse- One Piece anime is a good example of that.

Naruto filler - some are enjoyable and give more depth to characters, some is plane fan service or to give it more volume. Any franchise is not going to throw it away if it can milk it. People work for money, they are not running a charity to entertain you or me.

Nah, lojzi is cool. I'm pretty sure we can all agree the animation isn't great in either show.

I do like the animation in Naruto recently tho. It got buffed up.
I wonder if they redraw some stuff for DVDs like many other animes. Many series do that. If it weren't selling they would have cancelled the animes but not many people realize how badly studios need such shows that sell or they get shut down.

Well, since I don't have a single DVD I wouldn't know. :shy:

As for the studios financial profile, a member here posted an interesting thread that listed the finances of most popular studios in Japan. Can't find it right now but its somewhere in the M.A.C. I believe. Now, I'm not really properly educated in economy but it seems like SP is going solid while other more quality studios like Bones were losing money which came off as a suprise to me. :/

Back in the day tho SP definitelly had profit holding both Naruto and Bleach at the same time. Idk how they're going currently but even if Naruto is to end I'm pretty sure they'd get around somehow.

I was looking it up and found some interesting pieces - at least I hadn't made this correlation before:

Anime studios are contractors. Once the production committee forms and decides on an anime to make, they'll scout out anime studios and offer them the chance to work on the series. The studios are given the budget money to work on the show, and they start their magic.

But how do they make their money? This is where things get tricky. Studios like Madhouse will split the Blu-ray and DVD profits with the distributor who is on the committee (like Pony Canyon). They may split profits with merchandisers too, if a PVC figure uses the anime design created by Madhouse. The amount of profit is low, which is why studios try to save money by hiring freelancers and working on multiple series a season.

Studios like Kyoto Animation and Sunrise are powerful enough to sit in on production committees. They can essentially invest their own money in the shows they are working on, so they keep a bigger chunk of the profits.

Kyoto Animation also does more than anime; they are a manga and light novel publisher and they run their own store in Kyoto. However, it is worth noting that they are the exception.

A complex web of money making.

The last way for a studio to make money is that they are owned by members of the committee. Take A-1 Pictures as an example. A-1 Pictures is animating this season's The Asterisk War and Perfect Insider, but they don't necessarily have to worry about sales or viewers because they are owned by Aniplex.

, in turn, is a powerful committee member for many anime. They sit on the production committee of Gintama, Durarara!!, and Naruto Shippuden as a Blu-ray and DVD distributor. They also produce soundtracks, merchandise, work with food companies for packaging, and video game companies. Aniplex takes that money and puts it into A-1 Pictures, which is essentially themselves. As a final twist, Aniplex themselves are owned by Sony Music Entertainment Japan.

So complicated..
