the reason behind rin's death

i was just reading the manga chapter in which rin died and this theory occurred to me. maybe rin was a spy of the enemy who came to attack kakashi. but at some point she was good and didn't want to betray his only teammate so when kakashi used his chidori on the enemy, she came in front of him intentionally and died because if she had failed in her mission then they would have killed her too. kakashi was in a shock and became unconscious. at the time when obito was killing the ninjas, they said that retrieve rin's body. they said this because as we know that a ninja has many secrets which are hidden and they can be revealed through his body. so the enemy didn't want the leaf to find out secrets about them.

this is my first theory and i know there are many plot holes in it but still this is it.

It's not a bad theory, other people who theorized that Rin was a spy as it makes a lot of sense with the way the Mist ninja needed to retrieve the body. I support this theory but we'll just have to wait til Kakashi brings it up in order to truly know what happened.

Well the time rin died was the Bloodmist Era...and we all know that Madara was technically the Blood mist Kage.. because the 3rd mizukage, Yagura is under madara's control.... So i guess it was Madara's plan to let Obito see rin's death...

madara could have manipulated kakashi with MS to kill Rin, to get obito on his side.....i mean the guy is an evil genius

Completely this... It was all a setup made by madara... If not then why did madara let the zetsu's and obito go? It was planned.

Rin has basically been a spy for a long time (maybee something like Kabuto had been, or that one girl in the filler arc that spied on villages without knowing it); however, she came to truly love Kakashi, Obito, and Konoha.

So maybee the two of them were alone because she was ordered to lure him away, but she double crossed the Mist. Realizing Kakashi and her were screwed, she got in the way of his chidori in order to try and protect the secrets she had learned on Konoha. The Mist had some manner of still extracting that information, and as such wanted her body.....buuuut they got Obito'd!


If so, great theory. Out of all the "Spy" theories this one is both the most logical, and probably the most well thought out! Nice work

I always thought that Rin was a spy, or was somewhat an involuntary spy
