What decides what rank you are?

Like, how some people are Genin and others are Jounin.

Sorry if this is in the wrong thread, or if it's already been posted, I couldn't find it.

It depends on the amount of posts you made

example:

50-200 posts = genin
200-550 posts = chunin etc

Here you can see them all.

I was a Chuunin earlier today... I don't think I'd be able to jump forward that much so fast...

S-jounin comes after chuunin, so when you reached 551 post you became S-jounin...and now you're on 555 xd

why do it take so long to be a kage

but to be a chunin you need like 550 post and if you sapm you can get that fast>.<

Because a kage is a lot stronger than a chuunin, obviously.
