"he didn't exactly come from nothing"....... When you said that.....I was done reading the post. X_X. Must be reading the wrong manga.

As for Lee. Lee was called a Genius by Kakashi.

It is just for his ability to use gates; Rock Lee did not have ninjutsu and genjutsu, that was a huge draw back for him. Not to mention he did not have talent for taijutsu; the overall talent and stuff. Lee is the one who works hardest in the manga.
Though you were the guy who said it:
Lee and Guy have the Gates.... Madara, Hashirama and Tobirama in fact worked harder then Lee and Guy.
so...

He kind of had nothing to start with..

Your post kinda made no sense to the main point of my post. And please give me the link to the thread where you got my other quote.

Actually lee is a genius in taijutsu.. If he wasn't he wouldn't have caught up so quick. His body is literally built for it. And Kakashi wasn't solely referring to the ability to use the gates.. he literally stated " It isn't about the hard work, he is a genius".

Lee was meant for Taijutsu.

He worked for Kurama's power. The prophecy also said Save or Destroy, so there is no garuntee.

^^ Naruto might not survive his final battle.., but he might take his enemy to death with him..
The prophecy makes people think Naruto will defeat the final villain & live... but Naruto might also die..

I think Naruto will die or at least not live the way he is now.

That prophecy is so ridiculous. To this day it baffles me. Hasn't done a damn thing for his character or this story. It's quite literally just there.

Two options: More to it than meets the eye or the prophecy is just going to be false in the end. As in Naruto won't be leading the revolution the way the frog envisioned.

I'd say we should wait for the sage of six path's appearance. We might get some information then.

The link does not exist probably thread got deleted; but it had been said that Hashi and others worked harder than Lee.

It has been stated that he has no talent for taijutsu either; by academy students and Gai; the taijutsu master.
He caught up and got taijutsu skills because of hardwork; his base taijutsu is something he worked for since his base self has nothing to do with gates.

i don't think it killed him but i did really like Naruto coming from nowhere and raising to beat the odds- made more of an impact.

Agreed. Actually I'd say instead of his character, the theme of hard work is destroyed between Naruto, Lee,.and Hinata.

Lee: His style is all taijutsu and hard work will make him a great Ninja....sadly he ends up getting limited panel time, and is pretty much useless in fights against the best characters. His hard work hasn't seemed to pay off.

Hinata: She adopted Naruto's way of never giving up and working hard. And yet she still seems to be completely weak like she was in part I...I mean the best thing she has going is the potential of the Twin Lion Fist which hasn't been shown....might be a saving grace...as at this point no Hyuga development more Byakugan development seems to be around though Kishi mentioned something about it.

Naruto: His story ends up countering his entire existence. Originally a no one who gets where he is with pure work....just like Hinata and Lee who both have limited talents or a personality that hinders her ability....then all the sudden, you have the genes of the praised Fourth Hokage, the powerful Uzumaki clan, is a child of prophecy (destiny much....so much for telling Neji it doesn't exist), and is possibly a sage reincarnation.

While Naruto actually had interesting development....the theme it tried to establish was wrecked.
