The portrayal of Villains in the series: childish or mature?

Orochimaru is probably the most mature portrayal of a villain in the series. We don't know hat exactly fuleded his madness and insanity. Yes, he does want to become immortal and would do anything for it, but he was a genius student. Why would he stray from the good side? It keeps us thinking. THAT's what a good villain must do. Make the audience wonder and cringe at their ruthlessness.

Obito's, on the contrary is the most childish. Lost Rin, so I'm starting a war. Stupid.

They aren't really evil, I see it kinda as they're just acting on their own individual beliefs to try an make the world a better place... Not really evil if you think about it :| just their ways of going about it seem umm unorthodox :|
