Here is a recipe for getting a thread to the "hottest thread" list (no guarantees though xd):
1) Notice that in the latest manga chapters a Naruto character has gotten an "upgrade" of some sort
2) Read through some threads to see what the general consensus is on the character now as well as their feelings on the "upgrade"
3) Take the opposite position from the general consensus and provide a thread with a well thought out and detailed explanation of your position.
4) Put in minor inaccuracies in your explanation that don't hurt your overall point
5) When you are corrected, concede that they are correct (which gives you and your thread a more respectable aura)
6) Respectfully disagree with the opinions of the general consensus
7) When people respond with "ar U fkin kidn ME?!" or other obnoxious posts, quote them and reply with "thank you for your opinion

Or just make a spiderman thread and hope it doesn't get taken down xd
Or have some awesome avatar and sig of large-breasted anime girls to draw the reader's attention away from your bad arguments xd
