Okay, so, I've seen people asking "What happened to Nagato's other Rinnegan?", and I believe that I may have uncovered the answer.

What happened to the other Rinnegan is that Madara is keeping it in safe-keeping. For who? Himself. But why not just implant it right away? He can't just implant it right away, as he still needs the sharingan in his right eye. Why? Izanagi.

The Sage of Six Paths divided the ten-tailed beast into the nine tailed beasts with Izanagi. Therefore, in order to bring them back into one, Madara needs to use Izanagi. This also explains why he only needs small parts of the eight and nine tails. He will take the essence of their chakra and anything else that was sealed, and multiply it (with Izanagi) to create enough eight and nine tails to fully recreate the ten-tails (it's Izanagi, it can do anything!). Then he'll replace his sealed eye with the Rinnegan, restoring him to Sage powers. Almost.

Before he can do any of this, however, he needs to get the other three paths (he has Senju, Uchiha, and Uzumaki. He's missing three). When he get's these three paths, and enfuses his DNA with the missing parts, he will basically have the DNA of the Sage. This is important, as he needs to be as close to the Sage as possible in order to be the Juubi's jinchuriki.

The Juubi is much more powerful than any of the other tailed beasts (as it's a combination). This means that it takes a great power to keep control over it (ie. the Sage). Having the Sage's DNA will give him close to the Sage's power (as simply having the 1st's DNA implanted in them gives the user increased physical abilities, so on and so forth), and with the Rinnegan will allow him to be the ten-tailed host. He can't use Izanagi to recreate the ten-tailed beast until he can get the paths, as if he recreated the Juubi before he could be it's host, it would run rampat and destroy everything.

This theory also answers another common theory. "Will the statue be the new body of the Juubi?" Yes and no. Madara will use Izanagi to reshape the statue into the true form of the Juubi, with the sealed beasts within it, thus giving it the soul/chakra of the Juubi as well.

But wait, he has one sharingan left, and Izanagi lasts one minute per eye. How will he do all of this (turn the statue into the body, multiply the Hachi/Kyuubi, recreate the Juubi) in just one minute? The answer lies in the other three paths. Izanagi is first initiated through having Senju and Uchiha DNA (two of the paths). Having more than two of the paths may increase the abilities of Izanagi, allowing Madara to use it in a larger time frame, and in a large space (not just his personal space).

Now, with "What happened to the other Rinnegan?", "Will the statue become the new Juubi's body?", "Why did Madara only need little bits of the eight and nine tails?" and "How will Madara become the Juubi's host?" answered, there are a few more questions we need to be answered. "Who was in the last coffin?", and "What are the other three paths?". I don't know the answers to these, but at least I've been able to answer a few questions (most likely).

Ultimately, I'd like to ask one thing of you. After reading all of that, what do you think? Ask questions and pick apart my theory, I'd like to see if I can defend it. :D

This theory is very well thought out, I have considered it and can honestly not pick apart your theory good job bro, it makes lots of sense I have posted a theory in the past on a substitution for the nine tails and was confronted with the problem of that the Kankuro brothers I think thats there name would not provide enough chakra, and you have definently fixed that problem. Now my questions I have none about your theory, but to ask your opinions of the ones you didn't know. Who do you think is in the last coffin, and what are the other three paths? I think that it's Izuna in the casket I have considered the sage, but I believe he'd be useless he'd be a powerless old man because he used all of what he had left to divide the beasts and seal the jubi, and as for the other three paths I'm unsure but I'm interested to hear your guess.

Madara wasn't scarred of what was in the coffin, he was more surprised, and was threatening Kabuto for it. For me, I personally think that it's Izuna, as Madara was acting like a protective older brother (he didn't want Kabuto to deface his brother's image and steal his sharingan for his own gain, so he agreed to giving up Sasuke afterwards). I mean, wasn't that the whole thing? kabuto wanted Sasuke, Madara said, "And if I refuse?", and then Kabuto summoned the last coffin. But that's just my opinion, and not a theory. (Wouldn't it suck if the last coffin was never revealed?)

it's fun for us to do stuff like this. it's even more pointless to comment on this thread for the sole purpose of calling it pointless.

I'm not so sure while Madara wasn't trembling at the coffin he did say "You Mad Man" Which implies a bit of worry I mean I still agree like I said it's Izuna but not just as a big brother standpoint, because Izuna and he were rivals, and he would cause some trouble. I don't think cause of the sharingan though If I remember right they said Izuna remained blind for the rest of his life fought blinded, never got new sharingan.

i thought one of the powers of rinnegan WAS Izanagi
Maybe for the Sage, but Madara isn't going to be reckless with his Rinnegan. What if his Rinnegan is incomplete? He's not going to risk that, so he use his extra Sharingan.

Even if they were rivals, you wouldn't want someone to revive someone close to you who's died, and use them as a pawn for their own selfish ambitions. And wouldn't they be resurected with their original abilities (ie. Izuna's MS)? And would they resurect them at their peak, or just before they died?

Nice theory, but there is a hole. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if Madara uses Izanagi on the tailed beasts to recreate the Juubi, then wouldn't his moon-eye plan fail due to the absence of a perfect EMS? He could replace the eye with another sharingan, but it still takes time to get used to when receiving an eye transplant. Even when he is able to see through the eye, it will most likely not immediately have the EMS. Unless Madara has another genjutsu as powerful as infinite tsukyomi in mind, then his plan would fail immediately after izanagi took its toll on his eye. Again, I might be missing something, but either way, your theory is pretty deep.

two things.

1) Kakashi. What relavence does this have? How long did Kakashi wait to use his new Sharingan in Kakashi Gaiden after Obito was crushed, and Kakashi went to kill Kakko? That's what I thought... He used it amost immediatly afterwards with Chidori, and used it to a great perfection, despite never having a sharingan before.

2) We've never seen Madara's EMS with the 'Tobi' aliace. What if he's keeping them in storage, like the other Rinnegan; not wanting to waste them incase such a fight as when he fought Konan would arise. There's also a theory where Madara gave Nagato his EMS, with combined with his Uzumaki DNA to unlock the Rinnegan (I think it makes sense, except for some parts where I poked holes that he couldn't fix, such as "Why give it to a random kid in a war zone?" "Why give both eyes?" "Why not take the Uzumaki DNA for himself?"). And if he did give the EMS to Nagato to unlock the Rinnegan (for whatever reason), then that's why he has Sasuke.

He's keeping Sasuke to himself, giving him the EMS powers, making sure that he's being as strong as possible, all for his own personal gain. He plans to take Sasuke's new EMS for his own and cast the world under Tsukuyomi (the image he portrayd was of an augmented sharingan/rinnegan combo. That could mean that he plans to enfuse Sasuke's EMS with the Rinnegan to acomplish this task).

Unless you use the ultimate bull shit about Izangi he could recreate a New EMS using Izangi while he was doing all that, or perhaps the third eye theory on his forhead people say is true and thats where he has his EMS. And nah Sharingdork, it's supposed to revive them how they are before they died.

so if he were to revive Jiraiya, would Jiraiya be revived with multiple stab wounds in his back?

Meh, he doesn't really need both Rinnegan. He can access all 6 paths with the one.
More Rinnegan=More power. And anyways, explain how more rinnegan would equal less power. if you've gots no eye on one side, may as well use your extra Rinnegan lying around the house somewhere, collecting dust, feeling lonly and forgotten. xd

I don't mean it like that I mean when I say just before they died not injuries like if you were old you were old, if you were fighting blind, blind, they can't be brought back mutilated I mean in that sense do you know what I mean.

If Kabuto happens to release his impured resurrection jutsu the gold and silver brothers will vanish hence madara will need to find nine tails chakra. That leave a beast up Naruto and that boy Sora from Land of Fire. Kabuto is the ace in the hole. Madara badly needs Kabuto. Without him Madara's plan is a failure. Believe me Kabuto won't let Madara summon the ten tails that easy. Kabuto also want Sasuke new eyes. Trust me Kabuto has the edge.

Kabuto is in a sense the ace in the hole but i doubt he will release the jutsu to do so would be for him to directly defy Madara, and at the moment Kabuto can't afford to be enemies with him he'd be crushed because he has no one that would ally with him. He's betrayed the leaf already by being Orochimarus dog in the past and ditching Madara would leave him stuck between both sides and he simply isnt powerful enough to get in the way.

Hell yeah..Kabuto's gotta trick up his sleeve, he's not working for Madara, he's actually blackmailing Madara with the whole coffin situation
The coffin thing is not as big as people think cuz remember a few chapters ago Madara told Kabuto to show him the resurrection jutsu or die. So who's blackmailing who.
