I detected a similarity between itachi and izuna both brothers of an indra reincarnate at their time, both itachi and izuna died at a relatively young age and gave away their eyes so sasuke and madara would reach their full potential.
If that happened twice in a row to a brother of an indra reincarnate so that leads me to think that in order for indra to fulfill his full potential a brother of his must die young. Then i remembered that kishi loves parallels and also gets his ideas sometimes from mythologies and even the bible, remember the shinjuu and kaguya stealing the chakra fruit is a parallel of eve stealing the fruit of the tree of knowledge god forbade, then when when god found out eve and adan ate the fruit god expelled them from paradise and the original sin was created, similarly when the shinjuu found out the chakra fruit was stolen he threw the curse of hatred over humanity. Then Jesuschrist came to erase the original sin similarly Naruto came to erase the curse of hatred.
Well now, what this last paragraph has to do with the title of the thread? As you may recalll hagoromo made his younger son his succesor so he would spread ninshuu across the world making indra the elder son to hate hagoromo and ashura and that started the brothers feud, similarly in the bible we have Cain and Abel, indra being the parallel of cain and ashura of abel, if you recall cain killed abel becuase god favored abel, cain was jealous and so he killed cain, kishi never told us what was the result of the death match between indra and ashura was, but we do know that cain killed abel, if kishi followed the same plot we can asumme indra killed ashura.
Now i have already said why i believe indra killed ashura, but there are more facts that point out that that actually happened, the fact that nobody knows about ninshuu and ashura was the one in charge of teaching ninshuu, and indra believed that power could bring peace and power as we know in NV equals ninjutsu, so instead of teaching ninshuu indra passed on his believes that power could achieve peace and the ninjas were created, also like i said kishi loves parallels and chains that repeat every generation and remember that itachi and izuna who happened to be brothers of indra reincarnates died young, i believe that a blood brother of the indra reincarnate is meant to die because indra killed his younger brother.
Well this is my theory, i´m in no way saying this happened in the plot but i think it´s likely, what you guys think?
