Zetsu is possibly the most noticeable Akatsuki member. Even Kisame's blue skin can be attributed to a skin disease, but how is anyone going to rationalise someone split down the middle into two colours and carrying a Venus Flytrap on his head ?
Personality:
Zetsu is primarily cannibalistic - as many of his victims would tell you, if they had a mouth ( or even a body ) after Zetsu finished with them. He also talks to himself a lot, and seems to have schizophrenia.All this combines to make him a scary sight to meet on a dark night. Would you want to meet a schizophrenic cannibal possessing a plant on his head, which is capable of slicing you in half ?

Zetsu joined NB on 11/15/2008. Remember that date and frame it up, Zetsu fans, because that was when the seed for today's pwnage plant began sprouting. He quickly got into a rivalry with a certain Kazuku..king ( who goes today by the name Nero-Sama ) and easily pwned him repeatedly, and owns him so much he can pwn him today as well.
? Blaze of Senseis
After the first few months, Zetsu obtained training from nearly every Sensei on NB - excluding BishamonSama, curse his monkeys. It was a beautiful time, jumping from Sensei to Sensei and learning from them all. Of course, special mention must be made to Hellbadass, for his patient training, and Roku ( you will see why later in the History. )
? Beginnings of the Legend
Zetsu then slowly developed, beginning his legend of a cannibal. His presence was slowly being felt in the Battle Arena. It was at this time that he fought Rei - which was Rei's first fight - but still was defeated. He attributes this to two things. a) Rei is an awesome battler b) I was *nosebleeds* all the fight xd
? Sensei Tests
Zetsu then applied twice to become a Sensei. The first time, he was failed in the written test due to an error of 0.5% ( yes, Nexus is really that evil ) and the second time, passed with flying colours and a super-high mark.
? MedSchool, Yin-Yang and Acupuncture
Zetsu then joined up the MedSchool, headed by the same ( evil ) Nexus. He then went through the first semester with ease - well, not really >.>, but he passed all the same. Later on he convinced Rei to teach him the Yin-Yang ( though he learnt only the first part ) and pressure point strikes.
? Kiyoshi-Ness and Music Arts
Zetsu then became the World's First Plant Kiyoshi ( though he really doesn't know much Kiyoshi stuff yet ) and then began learning the uber-pwnage Music Arts :zonder: Yeah, this is why Roku gets a special mention xd

The Cannibalistic Cooking Utensils of a Great Chef are a set of weapons summoned by Zetsu to aid in his battles. The set consists of :
Chitanfuraipan - A large frying pan with a curved bottom, it has a foot long handle and a wide pan, over three feet in diameter. The pan is highly heat resistant for easy cooking of Zetsu's meals, but can also be used as a defense against low to medium fire techniques [ up to B ranks ]. The curve and smoothness of the bottom make any physical hits glide off its surface, acting as a defense. The pan is also hard enough to be used to hit an opposing shinobi on the head to knock them out. The inside of the pan is however flammable, which means that with heating, a mini-fireball can be made in the pan and then flung at an opponent.
Santoku - Inspired by traditional Japanese cooking, the Santoku is a large knife with a six foot blade and two foot rubber handle, and is generally used for skinning, slicing or shaving Zetsu's meals. The sharpness of the blade and its long reach, however, make it usable for swordfights.
Koshosheka - A large ceramic container with some holes in its lid, it contains pepper to spice up Zetsu's meals. However, it can be used with great effect to spray the pepper into someone's eyes or nose for either distractions or for pranking.
Sugibashi - A set of two chopsticks, they are normally used to pick up food to eat. However, at the touch of a switch, the chopsticks expand from ten inches to four feet, because a hidden compartment opens up. They can then be used to grab opposing shinobi's limbs/weapons in a pincer-like grip or to lift far away objects.
Shokunanka - Classically resembling a meat tenderiser for softening the meat of pesky Iwa shinobi [ who generally cover themselves in rocks ] before Zetsu eats it. The mallet can however, also be used to great effect in splintering weapons or smashing kneecaps and other bones. The most dangerous use of this weapon would be to smash it violently into the "family jewels" of a shinobi.
In each fight, only up to three of these five utensils of mass destruction may be used.
