Watching the latest fillers, 353 and 354 to be specific made me realize that orochimaru is the only evil character in naruto and deserves to die, others like nagato can be allowd to convert and die honorably but oro doesn't deserve this. I will briefly take a look at all the major villains so far
Nagato: started with good intentions and wanted peace, however he believed peace could only be achieved when pain is experienced. Ultimately though, even if is ideas might have been deluded, he truly wanted peace
Obito: young cocky funny character much like naruto, witnessed the death of a loved one and hence wanted to change the world to bring her back. But not only did he want to bring her back, he believed the world was caused with wars and suffering, and believed that the only way in which there would never be killings was madara's infinite tskyuomi. So obito also Deluded only wanted a world with suffering
Kabuto: lost orphan exploited and manipulated by orochimaru. Kabuto could have been one of the good guys but was brainwashed to the extent he lost his person and felt he was no one. Kabuto bcos of oro's brainwashing felt he could become someone by adding to his person hence his involvement in evil doings. Ultimately his actions are a function of oro's actions
Madara: believed the world is caused to fight eternal wars. He believes those who have power will look for fights and those who do not have power will suffer at the hands of the ruling class(those that have power). He believes there is a cycle of hatred which exists and will never allow people to understand one another. He believed the only way people could come to understand each other and be one is thru the infinite tskyuomi. Ultimately what he's after no matter how nefarious his actions may be is a world without conflict.
Sasuke: had a very troubled childhood as he witnessed a genocide, especially the killings of his parent right in front of him perpetuated by his much adored brother. This is enough to make one falter in his path and also vulnerable to brainwashing, only for him to discover his brother had no choice to perform the killings To avoid a civil strife. Obito took advantage of his loss of focus and used him, but saskke was able to find his path. All Sasuke was after was to revenge against those who made his brother look villainous. That's fair enough to me
Gaara: being a jinchurriki is tough, you are scorned and detested bcos of the beast harboured in you. This is enough to make a person naturally anti-social. Gaara hated everyone bcos he was never shown love, perhaps if he had been shown some love while young, he wud never have had a murderous personality. Thanks to naruto though, he's changed
Danzo: had a lot of underground dealings with orochimaru in order to acquire power and the seat of the hokage. But the fact is, beyond all the nefarious activities engaged by danzo, he still had the best interest of the village at heart, just that is ways/methods weren't exactly agreeable as good. Danzo was a utilitarian and believed that any sacrifice needed for the progress of the village was acceptable
Orochimaru: this snake has an inherent lust for power, and this is the main cause of his evil character. A lust for power so strong he sacrificed the lives of many performing experiments on them in order to acquire power. The iburi clan shown in the latest episode is proof of this. Oro had so many hideouts where he kept prisoners and used them for his own survival and personal gain. Truly oro is the only villain in naruto.
I know it's a bit lengthy
but just expressing my self. Comments and opinions are welcome
