But would you actually want to see this happen? I mean think about it. You wait an entire week for an epic fight and in page one Madara gets 1 shoted by said technique and then that's it. Wouldn't that make for an extremely short chapter and boring read?

The only problem to this is that it wouldn't even work on Madara. Someone already stated that though.

You see, Izanami was created as a counter to the jutsu called; Izanagi.

Izanagi was originally created by the Uchiha in order to rewrite their own reality into a result they liked the most, which made them able to change fate if they didn't like the one they had been given. However, the Izanami was created by an unknown person ( Anime says its a female Uchiha ) who wanted to put an end to this. That person made it so that anyone who couldn't face their currently reality would be captured in an infinite loop that would only end when the person it was being used on accepted his or her fate. Madara on the other hand, knows his current fate, he accepts it and he enjoys it. Though he still want to change fate, but not his own fate, rather the fate of the entire world.

It's simply because, Izanami would one shot the **** out of him. No joke. The moment he comes into contact with blind Madara (as Sasuke did last chapter), Itachi completes the preparations and one shots him. There is no escape. Kishi knew this, so he took him out of the equation before Itachi done end the manga
