So, Kishi apparently decided to stretch out the plot again (which is good imho) by dividing the main battle into three smaller battles again.

A while ago, we had the three battlefields of Gokage vs. Madara, Naruto and Co. vs. Obito and Sasuke/Itachi vs. Kabuto. Then subsequently, everything flew together into one huge battle. And now it became divided into Naruto/Sasuke vs. Madara, Gokage, Oro/Taka and Co vs. Spiral Zetsu and Kakshi/Minato vs. Black Zetsu...

And apparently, these battlefields are separete enough from one another that the people don't know what happens elsewhere.

Somehow, when the God Tree was summoned, the whole battlefield became really wide and people were scattered all around.

On a side note, am I the only one that thinks the Spiral Zetsu battle came out of nowhere?

The battlefield that they are fighting in didnot get any bigger, it was massive to begin with.
You do realize that they are fighting in the crater made when Naruto & B fired a combined biju dama at the gedo mazou. It's supposed to be around island level. Also, inside the crater their is another massive crater because of Obito. When obito sent naruto & Sasuke flying into the ground the impact was so strong that he created a crater, probably around the size of a small town.

Yes, what I meant was that during the Juubi and Obito fights, everyone seemed to be in pretty much the same spot, as they all seemed to witness and react to the events in these fights. Only Hashirama and Madara seemed a bit away when they fought during the Juubito-fight.

But after the events about the god tree and Juubito's defeat, the distances between the different battle groups are now suddenly really huge, in fact so huge, that the main part of the alliance apparently didn't even see the Bijuu-extraction, which was a pretty huge event....

At this point, I would like to see a short map of where which battles and characters currently are, like it often is in One Piece anime during the main huge battles^^

Oh, I see. Good point, yeah I agree with you. Oda's pacing may be off putting to some but it really works well in war arcs.
