I remember thinking that was strange too. Like, why show the cliff? I thought it might have had something to do with Madara "escaping" thru a super genjutsu or something another....but also could have been something else? Idk.
For a new character to be shown with having such a special, weird looking chakra and Orochimaru worried about any "mysterious" person around Sasuke. I think it would almost have to be someone who has been mentioned before or was barely in the manga, now is time to show why that person came right after Madara went Rikudo....or did they come because Sasuke "died"? Considering Obito awakened the sage powers once already, one would assume the person showed up because of Sasuke. I cant figure it out ;p

Kabuto
The mysterious person is just Kabuto and not some new person who hasnt been part of this war yet.
Kabuto is using sage mode. The most evil sage mode as said before in the manga.
Karin has never seen Kabuto with sage mode and modifications (like dna from multiple people).
Obviously his chakra signature will be different, so she cant recognize it (I dont even know if she
can sense sage chakra).
Karin is worried about Sasuke, so this can cloud her judgement and giving her this ''I dont have a
good feeling about this'' kind of worries. Kabuto is using an evil sage mode, so this can feed that
feeling as well.
Really all these new theories about the mysterious man being Shisui, Jiraiya, The Elder son, The Sage himself, another Swirly Zetsu (who suddenly has sage mode after being paralyzed by the curse seal -_-, not likely) etc. wont happen.
Why would they appear out of nowhere in the war? Shisui (who most likely has nog sage mode) his story is closed and so is Jiraiya's. Not much reason for them not to be wearing shoes and having legs that look worn out from fighting either.
Leaving Kabuto forever in Izanami doesnt make for a good story.
He must escape Izanami at some point and find himself. This is the right time.
Kabuto is arguably the best medic alive at the moment and posseses a lot of other useful jutsus.
Itachi gave Kabuto a new chance in life and he would make sure to leave help behind for his little brother.
Kabuto will be part of the help that Itachi left behind for Sasuke. Itachi made sure of this with Izanami.
Kabuto doesnt have shoes atm, so he matches the person who has bare feet in the picture.
Kabuto might be a bit different, now that he managed to go sage mode, without Oro's chakra.
There will be some other things to reveal that give Kabuto some new flavor, but it will be Kabuto and not some new person. He might look different though.
Kabuto has sage jutsus that work well vs people with eye powers and he has anti mokuton poison abilities.
He is even immune to genjutsu that affects the eyes. He has a lot of useful knowledge in addition to this.
It will be interesting to see Kabuto join the war on the side of the Shinobi Alliance.
Kishi is just making the readers exited by not allowing us to recognize this person as Kabuto right from the start.
He did something similar in the past, when a hand with Rasengan was appearing above Muu and Gaara and it turned out to just be Naruto.

I don't think it is Kabuto, because the chakra isn't recognizable. If he did change it to get out of Izanami, then he would be a changed man, and Karin wouldn't be saying his chakra is sinister, nor would Taka be foreshadowing him as a villain.
Whoever it is, it looks like they're drawing in a ton of natural energy. If it is, it's possible that its someone with an innate ability to draw in natural energy, like from Juugo's clan. Whoever it is, they only have an interest in dying Sasuke for some reason. My guess is a new villain who is possibly extremely old and will have an ulterior motive that causes him to save Sasuke. Perhaps someone else has a plan to manipulate Sasuke.
Someone awhile back made a lengthy, and well thought out theory that the final villain was going to be similar to mythological figure Sojobo, and was going to manipulate Sasuke in the end. I wonder if their theory might play out after all...

Yeah some people believe Kabuto lost his powers, but Juugo stated that Oro only took Oro's own chakra back and cancelled the sage mode. Kabuto has every power except Oro's and Kabuto can still activate sage mode.

I would believe this, my imagination can see Yamato being unconscious and drained or even dead and drained inside of swirl zetsu. Similar to how the girl looked at the end of gunduam when she was apart of the machine (I was 8 can't remember too well)

Maybe it's fukaku Uchiha who for some reason know show to escape edo tensei and will revive sasuke lol. WHO KNOWS, I don't think it's Kabuto.

Oro didnt even have the body to become a sage (he did utilize senjutsu chakra though, by pouring it into seals, but Oro didnt become a sage).
Where does it say it was from Oro's chakra? Maybe he can do it without Oro's chakra. Kabuto has Uzumaki dna from Karin so that alone, should work I think.
