Madara and Sasuke for the reasons you listed.

Madara became ultimate bad-ass when I saw the Kyuubi flashback where Madara was like,

"Hey you, you're pretty much my new bitch now".

And Sasuke was bad-ass the moment he found out that A was the Raikage and just rushed in to take him out.

Naruto has his moments too, but too emotional.

I though he was bad in the Gaara fight in Part I where he was about to get crushed and he summoned Gamabunta. He was pretty much like "**** that".

Who is the most gangst a character of all time?

• 3rd raikage: the man that took on 10000 ninjas for 3 days and night so his comrades could escape. Took on the 8 tails 1 on 1. Skin was like iron. Etc
• Minato: took on the best tag team 1 on 1. Took on the fox and was ready to die! Etc
• Hanzou: the only man ever to not be afraid of all 5 nations, and be respected on there level. Was so BOSS that what ever he said, the world acknowledge and respected! (named 3 random ninjas to legendary status) Only man too harm nagato! Etc
• Tobimaru (2nd hokage): invented the most broken jutsu ever! Took on 20 elite bounty hunters (among them were the kin gin bros) and was ready to die in order for his students to escape! Etc
• Madara: single handedly challenged the leaf & took on the 1st. His name is power it self! Known in feared even among the best ninjas ever! Made the kyubi his b!Tch. Etc.
• Tobi: took on the leaf like a G, which at the time had two kages. challenged the world and made ninja world war 4! Made the bijuus his pets! Made kurama & mizukage his b!tch! Baddest man ever!
• Oru (or kabuto): killed 2 kages! Took on the leaf. Made his own village! Invented forbidden justus by the ton! feared. Etc
• Sarutobi: called god of shinobi!... Other stuff aswell, but that right there is enough to shut this sh!t down! LOL
• Sakumo Hateke (white fang): respected on the level of the sanin! At the time probably was the best leaf ninja (minato, sanin were present)
• Sasuke: took on the 5 kages not giving a ****! killed danzou! Etc and is only 16! The youngest bad ass ever!
• ZABUZA: killed all other students to become a chunin! Known as the demon of the mist! Challenged the tobi controlled mizukage and lived! Most bad ass voice.

He didn't get owned (Well kind of by Oonoki ) he severely injured the Raikage A, he made the Mizukage look stupid by escaping her trap and made her have to deactivate her Boil release, and he showed Gaara how his defense is even more powerful. (BOSS)

Sasuke for me. He went in the Kage Summit and didn't give a damn about any of the enemies he faced. Manged to be cool at the same time. Actually hit Raikage through his Clad Lightning Armor using his Chidori (although it was minimum damage) and killed Danzo right after he attacked the Kage Summit.

Was a crazy run for him.

Second for me would be Minato. Awesome guy, he managed to hit Tobi, first person we've seen do it.
