As far as who she was, no since it was not explicitly stated. However, most just consider it to be an arranged marriage type deal in the Uchiha clan.
However, I doubt that Kishimoto himself remembers that he added that insignificant detail. In one of the Road to Ninja movie interviews, he was asked if Itachi had a girlfriend. He said he probably did, since he was popular with ladies in Konoha.
I guess he had fan-girls like his little brother.

I was once this close to proving that Naori Uchiha (the female Uchiha who uses Izanami in a filler flashback episode before Itachi releases ET) was a rejected concept idea for Itachi's lover added in as a homage by Studio Pierrot, but there wasn't enough evidence to support it.
But based on some coincidences I did find, had I discovered some more substantial evidence, I would have ended up with the greatest theory of all time and effectively broken NB with the amount of controversy it would have caused

Yes, Naori was from a different era- but she uses Izanami and Itachi correlates to Izanagi. I doubt that they used a female for that flashback by chance (since all the other fillers with major clans like Senju and Uchiha only had men fighting).

Bad- only if it's not handled properly. The character ended on a good note... twice. It should be kept that way tbh and people don't feel bad this way (since other characters need to be elaborated on).

It would be interesting since in the actual manga, the only time we get to hear about Itachi from his own point of view is when he's an edo... any other time is from someone else. The Kakashi Anbu filler arc gave us some more insight on his mindset, so that was cool. I liked it alot and SP did a fine job on that. Also, if it's centered on Itachi, then it can develop other characters too- like the Akatsuki members, the Anbu members, the Uchiha clan itself depending on how far back the series starts, etc. Even other villages since the Akatsuki had connections there as well. It would be cool. Too bad a novel for him is not on the list.
Who knows? Maybe he'll be mentioned in the novel for the Akatsuki. That's the only one that has a chance of mentioning him. lol
But I heard the Akatsuki one is coming out in April and mainly centers around Kakuzu, Hidan, and Deidara. So he might not be mentioned at all.
And Shikamaru has his novel coming out on March 4th. He's supposed to fight the best genjutsu user of his time... however, this is after the war ended so it's not Itachi or Shisui... or any Uchiha.

So I got bored and decided it was time I made some MS patterns for the Uchiha kids in my fanfiction. Now, I will say that these are SasuSaku kids that I came up with months ago so they aren't canon. But I would really like to get some feedback on the designs, keeping in mind that I only have paint to use so they aren't anything fancy.

I would say that you should make him more like edo Itachi (who had learned to trust other people), so he could be like what Itachi could have been (not that Itachi was bad; he just had to become a "villain," whereas this more "edo-esque" Itachi could have a brighter future).
