And as far as it relating to this FC...
Shikamaru Hiden is hinted to feature a battle between Shikamaru and the "strongest genjutsu-user."
Shisui died before Shikamaru even became a shinobi (plus they never met) and I don't think Itachi ever even met Shikamaru either. This novel is also supposed to take place during the time skip after ch 699. Who knows who the "strongest genjutsu-user is". I don't think it would be Sasuke (they have no reason to fight and the power gap is too great.) Maybe it could even be a filler character.
Konohagakure Hiden will look at the other ninja in Konoha and what happened to them "after the original manga." The preview image shows Shino, Kiba, and Rock Lee.
This explains who the Konoha story will be about. We know relatively nothing about Shino, but that's somewhat of the point of his character- to be that background guy. Lol Rock Lee was fun and Kiba I don't really care for. (Sorry Kiba fans).
Kind of sad that this won't include anything really relevant to the manga (in terms of the history of the village).
Akatsuki Hiden is listed to reveal the "truth of the Akatsuki," and features images of Deidara, Kisame, Kakuzu, and Hidan.
If it's only about these 4... I'll be greatly surprised since the "truth of the Akatsuki" wouldn't have much of a correlation to them in particular.
Out of all of these, I'm probably going to read just the Akatsuki one and that's only if it includes more members. (Nagato/Konan/Itachi).
And, maybe the one with Shikamaru if the genjutsu user is someone we know.
Doubt it though. Probably a filler character. u'-'u
