^lol. That was Itachi's clone that located Naruto in order to give him the crow with Shisui's eye as well as to make sure that Naruto cared about Sasuke and would watch out for him, after Itachi himself would be gone. Then, Itachi went to fight Sasuke.

The burden and having to write a suicide note for Shisui. So that no one would know the truth and what they were doing, as well as the truth about the clan to not come out to the public as well. :'(

^That smile he gave when Naruto said "I care about Sasuke! I'm a better brother to him than you ever were." Oh, Naruto. The irony behind your words. However, those words reassured Itachi that he was leaving Sasuke with a true friend, so in the end what you said was fine.

Itachi turns on sharingan after the 3 cops already have theirs' turned on, mind you. And blitzes them and proceeds to give a speech. For that off-hand remark they gave him and all the stress he was feeling due to being a spy and his life in general with all the missions, as well as feeling terrible about Shisui's death & actually wanting to take suspicion for it so others would not suspect the truth...I don't blame Itachi at all for how he acted out here.
