I know. I watched it and I really didn't expect Shisui to go out like that. When Itachi said that Shisui "silently died and I never saw him again" in the manga, I thought it was like Shisui dying but then leaving before Itachi could actually see him. Not like that.having to suppress my tears at lunch while i watched it was way too hard. :t_t:
I know, right?? :T_T:having to suppress my tears at lunch while i watched it was way too hard. :t_t:
I do wonder what would’ve happened if Itachi was the avenger and Sasuke wasn’t.After todays episode, I kinda wish Itachi was some sort of avenger.
Seriously!I know. I watched it and I really didn't expect Shisui to go out like that. When Itachi said that Shisui "silently died and I never saw him again" in the manga, I thought it was like Shisui dying but then leaving before Itachi could actually see him. Not like that.
Itachi had to deal with alot of traumatic experiences throughout his life. It's amazing that he managed to stay sane and not give into the curse of hatred like the other Uchihas did who gave up when less bad experiences happened to them.
Yeah, not really in him to be an avenger. He likes to end fights as quickly as possible and wouldn't let something like that take over his life. I personally think that overall he had the worst life in Naruto (I might post later on why, but not now) and he didn't let it get to him, so if Kishi wanted to make him into an avenger, he'd have to completely switch his personality. It wouldn't be Itachi.I do wonder what would’ve happened if Itachi was the avenger and Sasuke wasn’t.I’m not seeing it haha. But seriously though, I don’t think being an avenger would fit Itachi’s pacifist nature.
Seriously! That’s so true!! But then, Itachi reached out for him and tried to save him and… GUH, it’s too much! <3
Oh, absolutely. ;_; Kaya actually brought that up, too, and we were wondering what kept Itachi from going insane. I think that’s why Itachi is such an amazing character!
@Kaya Of course!! I hope your shoulder gets better!
Thanks Beep and Ryoku! I said it in the Naruto FC, but I thought I'd mention it here as well. Turns out that I need to have surgery to fix my shoulder. Not really looking forward to it but as long as it fixes the issue I can't really complain too much.Hi, Kaya!!:glomp^^ I'm sorry about your shoulder! <3 Hopefully, you'll have a speedy recovery!
I posted your message there just now!! You're very welcome!

I wanted to rep you so much for this post but I can't.Yeah, not really in him to be an avenger. Shisui: "No Itachi, don't try to stop me, if your my friend" smiles and starts falling
Itachi: "No! Shisui stop!" attempts to grab him but misses. Look of despair on face once he notices his best friend is gone forever. Activates MS.
I think that Itachi's just gone through so many traumatic experiences when he was growing up, at such a young age that he learned how to supress his feelings of sadness mostly. That's why he is praised as being a "perfect shinobi" in this series, he can pretty much complete any mission. He's the mentally-strongest character in the series. But he still had feelings for his clan (he wanted them to stay honorable and not be known as traitors for attempting a coup), his friends, entire village, parents, and little brother. He's also one of the most intelligent/wise characters in the series (hokage wisdom at age 7, I mean how can you beat that?).
Itachi didn't really feel any hatred towards anyone. I think that his feelings of love for his village, the shinobi world in general, and brother & his wish for them to all remain safe and peaceful are what supressed the curse on his part. Those feelings were stronger than anything else to him.
I also have a feeling that if Itachi hated anyone, it was himself sadly. I don't think he ever forgave himself, even after gaining closure with Sasuke. You can tell that he will always feel a sense of regret. When he was talking to Kabuto and he was praised, Itachi denied it all and stated "You overestimate me in the end, I only failed". That's another aspect that I love about his character. He may say that he overestimates himself or that people overestimate him, but I think it's the opposite really. He is underestimated. Hiruzen praised him for being the only shinobi to have the capacity to take on the lifetime mission that he did and even stated that he completed it perfectly. Itachi had only two choices, and in my opinion he chose the better one. It was a lose-lose situation and his clan was dying either way. At least he managed to preserve one Uchiha so the entire clan would not be annihilated in a resulting war with Konoha.
But nonetheless, Itachi still regrets what he did and repeated numerous times as an edo that he was a failure. However, if you think about, funny enough he only succeeded, at least more than the 3 other main Uchiha did.
He wanted Sasuke to get stronger (strong enough to protect himself), which he did.
He wanted to prevent a war in Konoha (which he did).
He wanted to help one more time by stopping Edo Tensei (which he did). That ended 98% of the enemy, it caused them to be cut down to two people, Obito and Maddy. XD
He wanted Sasuke to turn out as a hero (Sasuke is looked as the one who redeemed the Uchiha clan, due to killing Itachi-and the world doesn't know the truth about Itachi nor will they ever, only Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi, Yamato, Obito, and those two elders at Konoha know now. He is also known for taking out Deidara and Sasuke had a flashback of Konoha shinobi praising him to be a hero & saying that if Sasuke were to come back to Konoha, he would receive medals and his own team. So Itachi's plan would have worked had Sasuke gone back to Konoha, but then he had that little stunt at the Kage Summit. But now he is once again redeeming himself by joining the war effort, so he still has a chance due to Hashirama's/Itachi's tnj to him. Now, Naruto just has to make Sasuke completely good and Itachi did ask Naruto if he could take care of Sasuke and Naruto agreed. So this part isn't a failure yet.)
-Itachi claimed that he regretted his choice and that he should have told Sasuke about the coup and that he genuinely thought he could change an entire clan. But I don't believe this at all. Sasuke was a smart boy, but he was 8 at the time!
-Tension had been between Konoha and the Uchiha clan since the days of Tobirama's and Madara's fall-out, so over 100 years. Sasuke wouldn't even understand the situation at the time and Itachi stated that the reason he didn't tell Sasuke was because he didn't want to drag him into that mess.
-And I think that was a good decision. Especially considering that Shisui (trusted Uchiha clan member), Itachi (Fugaku's/leader's own son), and Hiruzen (most peaceful/beloved hokage) all failed to do that.
-Itachi told his father and those 3 Uchiha jounin cops that it was foolish to be entirely absorbed in the clan (not good to only care about one's own benefit) and that it limits one's way of thinking (not thinking about consequences, such as war). He told them that it was foolish to fear what one has yet to see and know (Uchiha feared being outcast by village completely). How did Fugaku react? He just shrugged it off and said that he couldn't understand Itachi anymore, after Itachi made it clear he didn't support the way the clan was thinking and what they were doing. Then he told Sasuke to not be like his older brother.
-How would an 8 year old convince an entire clan when he wouldn't even understand what a coup is or grasp the difficult situation (and Sasuke would probably side with the clan at that age, just as he always has considering that he values his own more than other innocent people), especially when his older brother who completely understands the situation cannot convince their father?
-It became quite evident in the manga when it was stated that the Uchiha refused peace negotiations with Hiruzen and that Shisui had to attempt a KA that it was beyond the point of negotiation.
-I feel like Kishimoto just had Itachi say that so that Sasuke would have a motivation to become hokage, his brother dying for the village and wanting to protect it. When Itachi said that to his little brother, it gave him confidence and you can even see Sasuke having a flashback to that moment when he is dying from that stab wound from Maddy.
Itachi: "Sasuke, I believe that you could have changed father, mother, and the entire Uchiha clan".
Sasuke: "No, I have to live. This is what Itachi died for, I have to show the village what a true hokage is."
I'm sorry for the very long rant Lol
I just couldn't help it.![]()

Thanks Ryoku! :glomp^^ It'll take about 6 weeks for me to be able to use the arm properly again. Yeah, they probably would've without Danzo's interference. So after watching this latest episode I have determined that there are NO redeeming qualities about Danzo. If the guy had just let Shisui and Itachi handle things then I doubt half of what transpired would have been the case. I am very happy that he is out of the way thanks to Sasuke.
=D
Thanks!

Sure! Welcome to the FC, Rafit! Just check the first page for our rules, be active, and enjoy yourself here! :x3:I would like to join.
Danzo is an antivillain. He is essentially a bad guy (look at all the things he's done lol) but has good intentions (he wanted Konoha's safety). The only problem is that he wanted Konoha to be safe by his methods. I agree that 1/2 the stuff that happened wouldn't have occured had Danzo left it to Shisui and Itachi. He should have trusted Shisui, considering that was his comrade Kagami's son and Shisui had always been loyal on gone on missions for Hiruzen. I guess I can understand why he wouldn't trust any random Uchiha (all of them bar Shisui & Itachi wanted to take over the village), but Shisui should have been an exception. So after watching this latest episode I have determined that there are NO redeeming qualities about Danzo. @Bolded, that’s a very interesting thought!Danzo is an antivillain. There is a possibility that KA would not have succeeded, a very slight one. That would only be if the other Uchiha still wanted to do the coup regardless of what Fugaku thought. Tobirama mentioned that during his generation, even though everyone sided against Madara, there were still Uchiha who sympathized with him but still stayed in the village for whatever reason. (I find it funny the way that back in Hashirama
s day, the Uchiha sided with the hokage/village and went against their leader, but in Shisui/Itachi's day it's the exact opposite.)
However,
I think that the KA would have succeeded in stopping the coup, at least for Itachi's generation and until Itachi would be able to take over as clan head later on. Also, Shisui and Itachi were pretty knowlegeable on both sides, being double spies and all so they knew what they were doing. That and in the episodes when Fugaku tells Police Force members to do something, they respect him and do it so they would probably not go through w/ the coup if he said not to. So during Fugaku's time as clan head and Itachi's time as clan head, there would be no coup. And probably for another generation after Itachi at least, I think that he'd change the ways of the clan for the better. That and in the manga he was stated to have a lover (which in this case means a girl he was meant to have an arranged marriage with that Fugaku probably picked out for him) and they were to have kids who would be taking over the clan someday, then I know that he would teach them the right things to do.
I mean the guy was friends with Shisui's dad in the past. He should have at least thought about that one before he tried to kill (and succeeded in a sense) the kid.Yeah, they probably would've without Danzo's interference.
Oh, that's good that you won't miss your classes. And you have time to prepare for it too![]()
Hi there, Solitude.Hello every1You must be registered for see images
Welcome to the FC! =D I will send an updated list with your name on it to a mod this weekend.I would like to join.
Too true. I'm pretty sure the phrase "the road to hell is paved with good intentions" was created specifically for Danzo. XD As for everything else you said, I agree with it all. The question is then this- what sort of ripple effect would have occurred if KA had been used and the coup averted (at least temporarily)?Danzo is an antivillain. You know, he could quite arguably be THE most evil person in the Narutoverse. lol He was too involved in his own designs for the village to give any other viewpoint a chance. Maybe it has something to do with all those sharingan he had implanted? XDGUH, DANZO.It’s no joke when people say that Hiruzen was the light and Danzo was the dark. O_O Danzo was very much in the dark. I like how he said that if Konoha was a tree, he and the Foundation would be the roots. That’s a metaphor that really goes deep when it comes to Danzo’s actions. He did the shady and dirty work for the sake of the village.
You’re welcome!! I see. D: Oh, I’m sure. I would hate it if it was my dominant arm, too!
