Kishimoto stated in an interview that Itachi had fangirls back when he was in Konoha, because he was apparently very popular. He probably lost them after his S-Rank mission and having to live in solitude for the remaining 7 years of his life though. :/ So only in the Naruverse does Sasuke beat Itachi in that regard.

But in real life, Itachi has more. That I know.
