The Martyr of Konoha: The Itachi Uchiha FC

If you could have 1 of Itachi's jutsu/tools, which one would it be?

Lol, I went to FrostCon two days ago and got this awesome poster:

The cosplays there were amazing, especially the Naruto ones. U_U
Wow pretty awesome indeed :) i couldn't find anything special in comicon last year in december and the only decent cosplay of naruto was this obito with the white mask and purple garment, the one that fought naruto, gai and kakashi by the time kurama's seal was removed.

Random thought time! If you could describe Itachi using only one mythical beast, which would it be?
Mythical beasts from every mithology? After some googling, maybe Asbolus the centaur from greek mithology, cause he read omens in birds and could predict things. He foresaw the Centaurs' battle against the Lapiths at Pirithous' wedding, and attempted to prevent them from attending. I would associate it with itachi for the visionary aspect and for the relation with birds since he used crows. There are a huge amount of possibilities even though it's hard to relate them to Itachi.

Wow that's actually a really thought-provoking question :D It's especially difficult to answer because so much of what Itachi symbolizes is very...humanistic in nature. I did see something once that I was going to ask about in here. He was likened to a mythical red bird. I can't remember if it was Chinese or Japanese, but I believe it had something to do with the South (there was one for each of the 4 primary directions) and was representative of fire. However, I didn't really think it encapsulated Itachi very well, so I didn't say anything lol. I'm going to look into this thoroughly before giving my answer :p

From Japanese mythology, I'd describe him with Kirin. (In terms of creatures only)

Kirin was a creature that was beautiful and gentle, but would kill the wicked. I find it ironic that Sasuke named his lightning tech after this creature (obviously for symbolism since he believed Itachi was the epitome of corruption at the time... but it failed meaning Itachi was actually pure-hearted).

For NV, the prime representation of corruption in part one and somewhat part two was Orochimaru. He's the only one who did not regret his villainous ways in the end, even saying it was only for his benefit. Kishimoto gave him no sad past to smear over his wrong doings. He's pure evil and is an egoist obsessed with immortality, not caring which child, woman, or man he needs to sacrifice in a brutal experiment to get there.

Itachi represents Kirin in that being as selfless and clear as he was, he would be the one in this manga to smite Orochimaru severely. He was good and elegant, but would punish the wicked when need be as well. And he'd only do so with someone who was entirely wicked (Oro) and would actually try to help those who were on the wrong path if he could (Kabuto).

At first glance, I'd definitely say the same thing as Chie. He has some strong parallels with the dragon Kirin from Shinto mythology.

Awesome question though, so I'm definitely going to give it some more thought! :)

I wonder if Itachi would like grilled cheese...
He's a pretty sane individual for NV standards, so I'd say yes...

Someone posted a few pics of the newest Naruto artbook drawings. (Not all since they want people to still buy the book). Only pic that was never seen before (not from manga/newest volume/or any past chapters or works) was one with Itachi. The first one:
