I have a bit of a predicament, and thought maybe some of you could give your opinion on it.

My next Itachi thread is going to be finished some time in the next two weeks (still 2 exams to go -_- ), but I thought of something troubling while doing some preliminary research.

I'm sure you've all seen the slew of troll threads about Itachi recently, more so than usual. It's gotten to a point where users who were otherwise indifferent towards him now dislike him and/or his fans, and would potentially see proper, non-troll topics as just another useless wank thread.

I'm worried that if it doesn't die down, my thread is gonna get some heavy negative reception, regardless of the quality. Do you think I should wait longer before posting it? Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated hmm

I think you should wait a little longer. Maybe after your exams even. The amount of troll threads went up in the discussion section primarily after Itachi was mentioned in the manga again by BZ, if we give it a few more chapters, then I believe that they'll die down. Especially if the upcoming chapters focus more on Team 7/Edo kages/Kaguya and people make wank/troll threads for them (at least that way negative attention will be directed away from Itachi). But, you should wait a while before making a thread about him. Some people on this forum tend to generalize and may take things the wrong way if you post it soon. U_U

I agree with Chie, put it off. The amount of troll threads recently has been ridiculous. :|

I agree with Chie. Wait abit more and then post it. (even if i don't think the troll threads about Itachi will ever stop..)
And would be nice if you let us know when you decide to make the thread, so we can back up the post and try to help you against the trolls and give a good feedback before it turns into a flame and hate Itachi one.

They got bored of Prime Hiruzen and started that shit. I remember all that Danzo wank threads were created by Hiruzen fans, now all of them are banned though

Personally, I also think he is reusing a lot of his villain plot. I'm hoping Kaguya brings a bit more to the table than she currently has. Although, Black Zetsu's history was interesting but needed more to it.

That's not only in naruto. You can see that in every other Manga/Anime, especially in the shonen genre.
Idk why but people like to fanboy always of the current strongest character rather than looking behind it and liking the ones which are written way better.

You could see that with Itachi. He still has a huge fanbase, but after his death people ofc turned sides and even started being those troll/flame morons cuz they love to go with the flow of bad written but "strong" characters.
