Re: The Plot Holes of One Piece
Hate to say this, but you guys are wrong. While there may not be many plot holes/inconsistencies/retcons in the series, they are certainly there. Here are the ones that come to mind off the top of my head:
1. Devil fruit users becoming normal under water
2. Zoro cutting Hatchan's swords
3. (Not really a retcon) Crocodile forgetting about his right hand's technique in the final fight
4. Luffy being hurt by Foxy's punches
5. Blackbeard's attitude towards dreams
6. The hardness of Seastone
7. The size comparison between humans, giants, Oars, and Wadatsumi constantly changing
8. Zoro not knowing what samurai were
9. Luffy and Hancock not losing power in her bath.
10. Luffy not turning tiny in Impel Down
11. Moriah resurrecting dead soldiers at Marineford
12. Akainu's DF being unaffected by Marco's haki
I'm sure there are more, but I can't think of them right now
There certainly are inconsistencies, but some of them here are reaching so much it isn't funny.
1. Why? It was established back in Ch. 1 that fruit users suffer in water.
2. Near death experience, same with Mr. 1, except in Alabasta he learned how to do it willingly.
3. Plot Induced Stupidity. Learn it.
4. Not really. They were all delayed reactions. Luffy was only really hurt by the cannons.
5. Huh?
6.

7. Huh? They're always drawn to scale.
8. Nami doesn't even know about other navigators, what makes this any different? Zoro was basically someone strong in East Blue, the weakest sea. Why the heck would he care about some renegade samurai in a far-off place?
9. UP TO THE KNEES.
10. Just like Luffy developing a resistance to poison, no? Oda already said Luffy was constantly changing, and that G3 didn't turn him tiny anymore. It's nice to see powerups in action, in the background being pointed out, while people like you need to be spoonfed about which powerups are which.
11. That is a plot hole, I guess. Then again, maybe when he puts shadows into dead people they take a zombie-ish form (just like Luffy did).
12. Devil Fruit Mastery. That's an old subject among fans and it's time you learned it.
