I'm not trying to sound negative but in truth that's what the movie really is. Please understand that I'm not trying to ruin the hype, cause I'll still watch it but it's just something for everybody to keep in mind that this is what the movie's all about.​

If kishimot is gonna end on a pairing, he better explain the pairings at least.

Throughout the thread I keep on seeing people saying "If it's so pointless, then why watch?" Can a person not watch something for some mindless entertainment? And he never stated that the movie is pointless to the point of it being un-watchable for him. There's a lot of things humans do in life that is pointless, but we still do it anyway.

I'm sorry but Saying pointless is equivalent of not watching the movie since he jump and conclude that it doesn't entertain him in anyway shape or form, he'll be saying it's wasting his time, so it makes no sense for him to watch the movie unless some force him to do it. That's how life works.

Anyone can watch the movie so long they have expectation even they've low hopes for the movie and say it's going to be sucks, atleast it's more reasonable to watch since they have something look forward those who have low impression for the movie could hopefully prove them wrong.

From what I'm interpreting from Op thread, it looks like to him it's not pointless afterall since what keeps him holding back for watching the movie is the Ootsutski plot even though he had too much low expectation because of romance and saying it's going to be bad, he has little hope to see how it;s going to be executed in the movie.

I know that he wants to watch the movie for various reasons. It will be interesting, it will include some plot events that will be entertaining. But he had clearly grouped the plot into the pointless section, but left out the entertainment and curiosity. In his opinion, the apparent romance-based movie is pointless because we all know who's ending up with who, so the movie will spiral down to something already known.
Basically to him, The Last plot=pointless because we already know what's happening at the end. So the movie is unnecessary. For entertainment? For curiosity? That cannot be grouped with the pointlessness of the plot. By all means, a pointless plot can be entertaining.

Agree. This movie is just one big retcon. Kishi should've just left how they got together to our imagination. With everything that happened between Naruto and Hinata, it was obvious they'd end up together (well, except to delusional NaruSaku fans.)

Now the pairing that needs a damn movie is SasuSaku. Kishi needs to explain this shit and redeem Sakura. I hope she at least punches or yells at Sasuke so we can at least attempt to halfway respect or accept this piece of sh*it, pathetic, dysfunctional pairing.

That said, at least we'll get to learn more about the Hyuga lineage. Just sad that Kaguya was nothing but movie bait. F*cked up Madara's epicness for f*cking movie bait. Kishi makes me sick sometimes yo.

lol. That would make the other movies even more pointless since they are not within the storyline. I'm pretty sure there are other things that will be explained. But seriously, all in all I agree this is mainly for the pairings fanbases; particularly NH. Nothing more, nothing less.
