How did u get that he is saying he has to protect Konoha? Sasuke sounds like he would rather not do this, but he has already stated that he wanted to protect what his brother sacrificed himself for.

I think someone was sent into a mission that Kakashi thought is not that dangerous, but then it got all screwed up and Sasuke was conveniently there and saved her/him.
