Got to admit. At the last page seeing Azula all crazy looking and just...eh. I'm had to see her out back together...well almost.

Re: The Last Airbender: "The Search" - Part 1

Posted this in a different thread, but thought I'd post it in the sticky as well. :)

Personally, I'm finding it interesting reading the backstory of Ursa and how she came to be Fire Princess. I'm not sure if I like Zuko not being Ozai's son, but it solves an issue I've been having with the series. Have any of you realized that Azule (if Zuko really isn't Ozai's son) is technically a product of inbreeding? Avatar Roku married the sister of Fire Lord Sozin. Ursa is the granddaughter of Roku. To have her marry Fire Prince Ozai, the grandson of Fire Lord Sozin, leaves the potential for one messed up family.

To me, having Zuko not be a product of this explains why he wasn't crazy like Ozai and Azula. Although, I will agree that it takes away from the "inner tug of war" Iroh explained to Zuko.
well he was raised like he was sozins great grand son so the tug of war is there plus would you rather he be in a tug of war like azula is in right now?

I know but there is an innate difference between the two types. One is potentially the product of inbreeding while the other is more a product of outside forces (i.e. motherly and fatherly influences). That's all I meant by it.

Re: The Last Airbender: "The Search" - Part 1-2

Even though I am extremely late, I just caught up on all the comic action, up to The Search part 2 ! I am like dying for part 3.. finally, I feel as though we'll discover Ursa's whereabouts. I have been hanging out for this reunion for literally years.

On another note, the comics are in general awesome. I love how it is filling out the gaps in the flash backs that we already knew of. For instance, we actually got to see Ursa's and Azula's conversation, something which we never got to see back in TLA Book 2 Earth. I also love how it is exactly like a continuation of where the series left off. It just makes me feel so happy.. it is like it never ended.

I could go on forever, but the bottom line is I am in love with these comics. Hurry up part 3 ! xD

Whoa I didnt know about this... um is this legit? know it's a stupid question but I wanna show my friends this.
I'm not really sure what you mean with 'legit', but if you mean this is canon and not just some kind of fanmade thing, then yes this is canon. The Promise and The Search (and the next one The Rift) are comic books about just after the end of The Last Airbender series.

I completely take back what I said about this comic. Dark Horse have done a great job and this is a fantastic addition to the Avatar universe.

Is there still more to come though? I just finished part 3 and that honestly felt like the end...is there more?
