The Kamui Dimension

1) Did it exist before Obito was born?
2) Did it suddenly come to be when Obito was born?
3) Did it suddenly come to be when Obito awakened his 2-tomoe Sharingan or when he (and Kakashi) awakened their Mangekyou Sharingan/Kamui?
4) Was it erased from existence when Obito died and left the realm of the living?
5) Does it still exist because Obito still possesses his Sharingan in the afterlife?
6) It exist[s/ed] in Obito's eyes, right? Or in some other plane of reality/existence/the universe?

I guess no one but Kishi could know the answers to these questions for certain. Just speculating.
Maybe Naruto wikia provides some answers. Just too lazy to check lol

Looks like a sort copy of our Universe but comprised of different matter. I doubt Obito created a dimension by unlocking kamui. Then again..the eye naturally being an attuned key to a random ass dimension?

It reminds me of the animus tutorial in assassins creed. Your running in the same location in both dimensions. It's just that our dimensions objects aren't manifested in kamui dimension. It's like God couldn't be arsed finishing it. He just copied and pasted but removed all the objects and textures like a Sims game. Drew up the basic schematics and colour schemes or maybe I just need to go to bed...yeah... XD

1) Yes. Everything Sharingan related was inherited directly from the Juubi.

4) It was removed from the existence of the impure world. The ability is fixated with his Sharingan which no longer exists in the realm of the impure world. I specify 'impure world' because Jutsu such as the Edo Tensei exist which is capable of bringing his sharingan back in to physical existence in the Impure world.
5) Yup.
6)A different plane of existence. The jutsu itself is a portal---or for more accurate definition, a ripple in the fabric of space and time which opens to another space and time (plane).

The answers are already there---not easily seen----but they're there. ​

imo, it always existed, he accessed it for the first time with 3-T so I'm guessing his eyes just serve as some sort of door to the dimension, It might even be a place in the NV since it seems there are different dimensions in the NV (meaning Obito isn't the only one that can access the Kamui dimension).

Ehh..My idea is that Kamui and Genjutsu are actually related in function; so Obito having it shouldn't be a surprise or oddity; then again I should explain. I'll just quote something I wrote a few years ago:

Initially, reiterating that: Naturally the Elder son should have maintained the Rikudō's eyes but his Dōjutsu represents the Rin'negan lacking the Yoton portions: the eyes can only surface when both entity's are unified. The Sharingan is a secondary consequence of the Rin'negan and eventually came into existence as the Elder Son's Dōjutsu suffered attenuation. It implies that the varying abilities both seen and unseen to present of the Mangekyō and Eien no Mangekyō Sharingan would have originated from his eyes. Highlighting the ability that is Kamui.

The key element to the jutsu is that it holds properties similar to Izanagi however their principles differ. Obtio's Mangekyō is truly radiant given it's eternal connection. Examining it's foundation: Genjutsu manipulates charka flow the the brain thus causing a ripple of the senses and may be used to insert an experience of false dilemmas within the desired target. Compiling the afore properties; Kamui as a jutsu is actually the ability to manually influence the intersection of Reality and Illusion----which naturally----allows the user to appear at any desired location on the plane of reality. The dimension in which Kamui users appear is theorized to be this intersection; where Imagination and reality remain in superabundance and are effortlessly produced by those able to manipulate the entities [
