Of course, Sensei! I have transcribed all the techniques I have learnt and keep them in scrolls in my house. (Click my signature, there's everything organized in my Custom thread, with links to all my trainings!)
The method training allows me to encompass all the techniques by how they work, not just vaguely call them by rank, which is almost arbitrary. I think I'm keeping it very organized! Well... my bugs are... they're more organized than me.

Panthalassa grinned, scratching the back of his head.

Alright, so I'm going to analyse the techniques I really want, they're just three, and then I'll analyse all the stream techniques, 3 by 3, from your scroll!

(Suiton: Uramiame no Jutsu) - Water Release: Grudge Rain Technique
Rank: B-Rank
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 20 (-50 per turn while trapped in the vortex of waves)
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user will first perform the Dog hand seal and release his chakra into the atmosphere which will then create an accumulation of large storm clouds in the sky, which in turn produces rain. The large amount of rain falling all around can then be turned into a large wave of water which sweeps the enemy off their feet while wrapping around him and binding him in the flow of water around him. While the targets are trapped in the water, their chakra will slowly be drained away. The water vortex can be sustained and controlled for up to two turns as long as the user keeps the dog hand seal made.

This technique requires one Handseal ( Dog ), and does not require a water source. You charge chakra into the atmosphere and create clouds with it, which will then shower the terrain. The abundance of water creates a sweeping wave that will knock the opponent off his feet and then wrap around him in a vortex, while the water drains chakra from him. I have to keep the Dog handseal in order to keep the water controlled, which I'm assuming means that, for two turns, I have to re-cast the technique, and can't use other elemental techniques in the meantime.

This is a very interesting property of the water element, and one I'd like to explore even further!

(Suiton: Mizuame Nababara) - Water Style: Starch Syrup Capture Field
Rank: C
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user After performing the required hand seals Ram → Tiger spits out high-viscosity, chakra infused water, aimed at a surface of wide scope. This is a stream of sticky liquid which can be used to form an adhesive trap that can inhibit a person's mobility. One can effectively reduce their enemy's area of activity with this technique, and has the effect of being able to take complete control over the battlefield. The normal scope of this technique is normally just a few metres, but if prepared, it is also possible to make an entire pond of starch syrup. Being caught in the technique can be avoided by channelling chakra to one's feet allowing one to walk upon it uninhibited, beforehand.

This technique requires 2 handseals and no water source. You spit out a thicker and more adhesive type of water, which is akin to syrup. When you step on the syrup unaware, you stick to the surface, and are unable to move.

(Suiton: Ukojizai no Jutsu) - Water Style: Rain Tiger at Will Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: A perception ninjutsu, allowing one to freely manipulate rain infused with the user's own chakra after waving the Bird → Rat → Ox → Monkey → Rat → Snake hand seals. The rain falls from rain clouds, formed with the users own chakra. During this technique, the falling raindrops are closely linked to the users senses. When the rain is obstructed by a chakra belonging to someone the existence of the target can be detected. The rain will keep on falling until the user uses the seal to cancel it.

This technique requires 6 handseals and no water source. It's similar to water grudge rain, in the sense that it creates rain and there's a very intimate relationship with water past water's normal properties. This time, instead of seeping chakra, it can detect chakra. From the time it is created, up in the air, until it falls on top of something, each droplet can detect chakra. When it falls, I believe the information each droplet relies is whether or not that surface has chakra ( beings, opponents, techniques, for example ) or not ( ground, rocks, water, etc ). I'm assuming one can also understand how far from the user that droplet fell, allowing one to map out the upper surface of the terrain all around.

I would suspect this technique does not work well in forests, since the outer surface of the terrain are the leaf tops, and it's very difficult for a droplet to fall unimpeded from the sky to the ground, without losing it's chakra detecting properties by hitting a leaf od a branch before it can reach the ground or our opponent.

I have a question for rain techniques. Can we create them inside a building from the water in the air? They would be significantly smaller clouds, and much closer to the ground, but would still have their uses...

Dean hears Panthalassa explain the techniques with ease. He was quite good with analyzing techniques, which means that trainings were going to be a breeze. Nonetheless, Dean smiled as he commented on his student's analysis.

"Very good, I too enjoy the first technique since it can be used in many scenario's. You see, the technique is also capable of reaching up to Long range, which is always a plus and this is all achieved with a single hand seal. As for the Syrup based technique, it can also be used to bring down projectiles like kunai and such, making them heavier thanks to gravity. Its also quite widespread, meaning it cover a large surface area. Keep that in mind, when using the technique in battle. It also reaches up to Mid range. Last technique, very good too. However, the technique works by the fact that if it hits an object containing chakra, it will alert you (thanks to it being linked to your senses) but nice example with the forest. Your question, I would say yes, it can since it says that the technique creates clouds from which this special rain falls. However, its best to ask the technique creator to be 100% sure, will be sure to ask.

So you got those now. Next on the list? Do them in the same way."

Thank you Sensei! Great tips, hadn't thought of them!

(Suiton: Mizu Kuri No Yaiba) - Water Style: Sword of Draining
Rank: D
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Description: A technique that utilizes water to create a sword. The sword can be wielded in the normal fashion, allowing the ninja to cut and stab like with a normal blade.
Note: Doesn't require a water source.

I skipped the first technique, since I already knew it. I understand the method, and that technique is the most basic of all water techniques, so there's not much I need to analyse that I haven't done before. As for the new techniques, Sword of Draining allows us to create a sword. There's not much to it, and, given it's rank, one could just use the first technique and achieve the same results. Nothing to distinguish it from anything else.

One question, though, which might be the reason why it can be distinguished. Can we use Kenjutsu through this technique? If we have a jutsu that creates, or can create a sword, can we use it for kenjutsu like a normal sword? Does it have to be stated that it specifically creates a sword? Does it have to be stated that it can be used for kenjutsu? There are some techniques, even in water, that require us to stab the ground with a sword, or something similar. Can they be used with this technique?

( Suiton: Junsai no Jutsu ) - Water Release: Water Shield Technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary, Defence
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user will manipulate their water chakra and releasing it from their arm which is held outwards infront of them and they then create a shield of water that can aide in defence against projectile weapons and close combat techniques

Same problem as the first technique. Since we already have the Water Release technique, this jutsu is obsolete. It should have increased rank, or some other special property.

(Suiton: Suishōha) - Water Style: Water Shock Wave
Rank: C-B-Rank
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 15-20
Damage Points: 30-40
Descripton: This technique allows the user after claping their hands together to make a spiralling vortex of water to form around them out of nowhere in a vortex like manner. The vortex then proceeds to cascade into an wave of water that rampages towards the intended target or all around. The size and power of the technique is dictated by the amount of chakra put into the technique, varying from C-rank to B-Rank.

I like this multi-rank techniques. You clap your hands and create a vortex of water anywhere within range ( Long Range ), which will then proceed to clash against or wrap against a target of your choice. Can be infused with more chakra for B rank, when it's usually a C rank. The fact that it has such a long rank, does not require a water source, only requires one "handseal" and it can go up to B rank makes it a very versatile and useful technique.

His next set were done well too, and true to being Panthalassa, he had some questions. Dean was happy that he wasn't afraid of asking questions, since most students somehow never asked any questions. Dean heard that he made a few mistakes and it was up to him to set them right, he had made some of the mistakes himself back in the day. Luckily he had great sensei who taught him over time.

"Great job, now I'll be doing this with every set where I'll add a bit of my own views on said technique. The basic technique is indeed very simple, but it has great uses due to the fact that it can be performed without hand seals, and in close range too. You can use it to fire projectiles, make shields and waves of water too. Anyway, its a nice technique.

Secondly, Sword of Draining. A very useful technique if you don't have a sword, but unfortunately it can't be used for Kenjutsu techniques since it requires constant fuelling and most Kenjutsu techniques require their own chakra, meaning you would be using two techniques at once without Yin Yang, which is impossible for us mortals z,z. Also, its merely a D rank and most Kenjutsu techniques require charging of chakra around B rank, which would mean it would overpower the technique anyway. Best used for free form to be honest.

Thirdly, the shield technique. More specific in what it can do then the basic Water technique, thus it has become its won technique. Both are D rank, but this is quite useful against free form Taijutsu. Other than that, not much to say about the technique itself.

Lastly, Water Shock Wave. A very nice technique, but it is created merely Short range around the user (the vortex feature) then the wave that cascades onwards is the one that goes up to Long range. The wave is the one that can be sent towards a specific point or can be caused to cascade all around you, making it both an omni directional technique and a specific one. Due to it having two stages, it can be confused (the range that is). Great job overall though."

Dean scratches his head, as he looks Panthalassa.

"Next?"

He then smiles, knowing that they were making progress quite well.

Panthalassa listened closely as his sensei corrected him. When it was his turn to speak, Panthalassa brought back one of the questions.

Alright, I'll just move on to the next jutsu.

(Suiton: Suirou No Jutsu) - Water Style: Water Prison
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This technique is used to trap a victim inside a virtually inescapable sphere of water by waving the Snake → Ram → Horse → Hare → Ram → Horse → Hare → Hands spread in front palms out. The only downside to this technique is that the user must keep at least one arm inside the sphere at all times in order for the victim to remain imprisoned. This technique requires a sufficient amount of water, which can be provided by expelling it from one's mouth. Once trapped the target is unable to move while within it due to the heaviness of the water. Because of the density of the water it can be used, to a limited extent, for defensive purposes if performed on oneself. Water clones can be used in preparation for the technique, which block an opponent's attack and trap the attacker in the prison using the clone's own water.

The user performs 8 handseals, the later being more of a hand motion than a handseal, and produces a great mass of very dense water that wraps around the opponent creating a water sphere that imprisons my target. I appreciate the thought that you can use this on yourself to act as a shield. Since it requires you to keep at least one hand inside the sphere at all times, I'm assuming you can't use any other techniques while this is active, even if the technique requires no handseals. Could I still be able to use other water techniques? Basic ninjutsu? Aburame?

(Suiton: Mizu Kamikiri) - Water Release: Rising Water Cutter
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: After waving the Tiger hand seal the user slams his foot to the ground, causing water to rise up and travel towards his target as a slicing jet.

This requires one handseal and then you have to slam your foot on the ground. I'm uncertain from where does the water rise up? Short range? From the ground? Is it materialized above the ground, from your foot? Is it brought from the water veins underground? How fast does the water come forth? How does the water travel after being materialized, can it be pointed in any direction or can it only go parallel to the ground? Can I make it go straight upwards?

Other than that, it's a pretty straight forward technique, it's a jet, so it can carve out your body pretty nicely, or at least push you.

(Suiton: Taihoudan) - Water Style: Water Gun
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Descripton: A strong water wave spit from the mouth that is more compressed than Chaos Water Wave and can carve the earth if used on the same area multiply times.

I'd expect this to be the same as the one above, except it is shot from the mouth and does not require handseal.

The next batch of techniques were done with ease, and as such, they were moving forward. Dean had never taught in this method before, but it was quite effective. They were moving fast, and the techniques weren't as boring as previous training sessions he had done, especially water due to its large amount of techniques. Dean smiles as he listens, this training also allowed him to always keep his knowledge on his canon elements too. Never get rusty, he thinks. Nonetheless, he continues to add on to the techniques as Panthalassa learns about them.

"Excellent. Water Prison is a unique technique, as we have seen in the fight against Zabuza, he had to create a clone to keep its arm within the orb at all times. This means nothing else can be used for as long as your hand is in that orb, so always keep that in mind. The water to create the orb is expelled by you, through your mouth and that can make it a problem too. A nice combination is to trap the opponent via a clone, and use a super-heated technique to boil them while their inside the prison. Other than that, good.

Water slicer. The Water materializes from where you slam your foot, and it travels with great speed towards the opponent. It is capable of cutting through solid structures to get to its intended target. It moves along the ground only, and simply in a linear path making a technique to only use when your opponent is trapped or so.

Yeah, the Water Gun technique is a simple projectile technique, which is aimed and released. Like we've spoken before, once it leaves your mouth, its not under your control anymore, and can easily be avoided by moving out of the way (not free form though) with techniques like Hurricane Fist and such. With no more questions left, we can continue."

Dean then creates a chair made of Earth, on which sits for a while. Standing all this while made him quite tired, or perhaps he was just lazy.

I have some follow up questions, then. For the water prison, if I have a clone technique, how can I use another technique as well? Wouldn't that account for simultaneous releases? ( We've seen Naruto prove this otherwise, but I am unsure if the Site mimics that, or if there's a rule against it. ) Likewise, if I'm using the prison technique, what can I use to overheat it, if I can't use other techniques simultaneously? Would I be able to create prison and, at the same time, shoot a swarm of bugs, or would the rule allow me to use the prison, and then the swarm, despite the fact that, technically, I'm still "using" the prison, and actively contacting it in order to maintain it?

And as for the Jet foot one, what exactly is my range of target, height wise? Can I shoot someone in the head? can I only shoot them bellow the knee? How wide is the stream? I figure it would be a thin stream, sort of like a coin size, and up to something like a baseball.

"No, I meant, the clone is a sentient Water technique (takes form and can use C rank and below Water techniques on his own) so he'll be capable of using the Water Prison technique on his own, while you do something else. There is a rule against using techniques simultaneously, due to time frame. It works like tennis, one from you, then one from the opponent. You can't use two techniques simultaneously before your opponent can use one. You can make the prison with a clone, and on your own, use a Fire technique which rises from the ground upwards, to heat up the orb, and even destroy your clone in the process (who cares about clones fam). If you use the Prison technique, your one hand is in there, so you can't use anything else because you are sustaining it. So basically, nothing that requires chakra can be done whilst you are sustaining a technique, unless you have a clone that's already on the field, or a summon that can use a specific element. Those are the only time that things are done, simultaneously. All techniques that need sustaining are like that.

The water jet travels along the ground. Its not very wide, and not high either. Never watched anime though, so I am not sure about the exact sizes. Its very thin, in order to slice the opponent and not very high, maybe 1.5 meters to 2 meters. Here is an illustration:"

Ah I see, thank you. And thank you for the illustration, it was completely different than what I was envisioning. Next I decided to go with three S ranked techniques, because I didn't have any S ranked ones from Water, and they will allow me to cover a few more ranks.

(Suiton: Suidanha) Water Release: Severing Wave
Type: Offensive
Rank: S-rank
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 40
Damage: 80
Description:
After doing the Tiger hand seal, the user will quickly exhale a very thin stream of pressurized water that will be able to cut even rock. The most noteworthy feature of the technique is how fast the stream is and how sharp it can be. By moving his head, the user can alter the jet's cutting path, creating longer cuts or affecting bigger targets.

Very straight forward, it requires one handseal and it is spat from the mouth. This is basically the same technique as I described with Chaos Wave and the last technique, so I don't thing there's much to add.

(Suiton: Suidan no Jutsu) - Water Release: Water Bullet Technique
Rank: S
Type: Offensive/Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra Cost: 40
Damage Points: 80
Description: The user inhales and molds a great amount of chakra into their chest, exhaling a very large quantity of water in the form of a powerful torrent towards their intended target. The stream of water is so powerful and concentrated it can rip through most obstacles in its path. The stream itself contains so much concentrated water that it can flood medium to large sized depressions of the battle field in relatively short amounts of time.

Same as before. Very simple. This one does not require an handseal but it is still spat from the mouth. I would assume this one is a bit thicker than the one before.

( Suiton: Suijinchū ) - Water Release: Water Encampment Pillar
Rank: S
Type: Defence
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: N/A
Description: A defensive technique where chakra kneaded inside the body is converted into water, and then expelled from the mouth in a dense torrent, effectively creating a near instantaneous barricade that can be used to intercept incoming attacks.

THis one is probably the only one significantly different the the ones I analysed so far, since, while it is still spat as a stream, it hits a sort of invisible barrier around short range, making the stream curve upwards and create an actual barrier of water around you, in a dome. The only question I would have is whether this is always a dome, or if it can be a full sphere, if I'm mid air. And can this barrier encompass other ninja? How many? Can it be 5 meters radius, like the limit of short range?

The infamous S ranks of the Water element. Dean knew all about them, and it seemed that Panthalassa had underestimated the complexity of some of the techniques. Dean helped him out where he could, it was his job after all.

"All right, you made a few mistakes here and there. First technique, Severing Wave. Very different from most techniques, because with a single hand seal, you releases very thin pressurized stream of Water from your mouth. So thin, and pressurized, it cuts through rock and would easily cut an opponent in half. By adjusting your head, you can alter the path of the stream, allowing you to attack more than one area with said technique. An illustration;

You must be registered for see images

After that, Water Bullet technique. Not a projectile, but rather a stream based technique. A dense torrent is released, and it can flood a large area within mere moments. Perfect way to fill up a hole, or counter some Fire techniques. Also done with a single hand seal.

You must be registered for see images

Lastly, this technique is indeed quite unique. but you got it wrong. This technique allows you to simply release water from your mouth in the form of a dense torrent of water that will take the shape of a pillar wall, which will then intercept attacks. The pillar of Water can be made anywhere from short to mid range. Cool thing about the technique is, when it has intercepted the technique, it can cascade forward into a massive wave (the leftover water) and even be used as a source for water. So it doesn't form a dome around you, but rather released as a torrent, then formed into a pillar that defends and acts like a barricade."

Panthalassa listened and understood. As his Sensei kept providing illustration after illustration, Panthalassa kept learning all the better.

Thank you for all these additional scrolls, they're helping me quite a lot understanding everything. Now I'll return back to the normal progression. I'll make due with these 3 S ranks, until we return to them!

(Suiton: Seibun Hōfutsu) - Water Style: Water Heavens Convergence
Rank: C
Type: Defensive, Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: After performing the required hand signs Tiger → Dog → Monkey → Snake → Boar → Tiger the user makes water rise from the ground and they can use this water in various ways. They can create a body of water for a water summoning to be encased in and allow them to move around where normally no water exists, or create a body of water to block incoming attacks or surround his target and then drown them.

Okay so, this is a technique that requires 6 handseals. It materializes water from the ground, up to mid-range, which can then be used in a number of ways. my question is, can we move this water source around without any other technique, or does this technique only creates the amorphous water, and then just stays there? How long can we keep manipulating it, if that is what this technique is capable of? And can we use other techniques while we're moving this one, after creating it?

(Suiton: Suihachi) – Water Release: Hand of waves
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: the user will produce a fairly powerful jet of water from the user's hand.

Same as before, but it creates a jet of water from the hand, instead of the mouth. Now, you've said the previous technique was different from the others, because you could move the head and change the direction of the stream. Is this something we can't do with all these other techniques that don't have that in the description? That doesn't seem right, since it was one of the advantages we discussed that this method had over the basic projectile method. I always assumed we could move our head, or, in this case, our hand around, and it will move the stream around.

(Suiton: Takitsubo) - Water Release: Waterfall Basin
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: After performing the required hand seals Boar → Dog → Ram the user creates a waterfall by developing spring water in a place without water veins and manipulating the resulting water current to form a wave. This is a very convenient technique as it can be used for training or relaxation. On the other hand, because it changes the environment on a large scale, it also has the effect of hiding one's location from the enemy by confusing them. The width of the water source, waterfall, and basin can be expended, as long as the user continues to send chakra in.

This creates a water spring that keeps on pouring even after you start feeding it chakra, from what I understood, which makes it different from other water sources or jet techniques because those have a limited amount of water, despite being quite voluptuous. My question would be about the final sentence, does this waste a technique, are we supposed to post this technique again, spend 15 chakra? How does this expansion work?

Dean listens once more, as they continue onward with the Water techniques. This time they got to less complex techniques, ones that Dean had seen many times before, both in training students and in fighting various opponents over time. Nonetheless, Panthalassa had several questions, and Dean prepared himself to talk.

"Alright, great job once more. You're doing very well, and I like that you are asking questions. Anyway, first technique, Water Heavens Convergence, is an extremely useful technique. The water does indeed rise from the ground, and form into a mass of Water, that can be manipulated by you (through this technique, but this means you can't do something else while manipulating it). This water can be created to form a wall for defense, a dragon that blasts forward or simply, a water source which allows you to use Water techniques through it. Now, the thing is, if you don't manipulate it, it just hangs there (based on the logic that it can be used as a water source, for other techniques but not whilst you are manipulating the body of water as a whole)

You must be registered for see images

After that, Hand of Waves, one of my favorites because of its simplicity. Anyway, through simple water manipulation, you release a stream of water from your hand in a powerful blast forward. Now, like you say, it can be adjusted by moving your hand which is an advantage of stream based techniques. Its also very fast, so nice to use in close range. Here is an illustration:

You must be registered for see images

Lastly, Waterfall Basin. Yes, indeed. To keep it active after a single turn, you have to post it once more and spend 15 more chakra points. Not a very interesting technique though, as it isn't very practical. Its very large and not inconspicuous at all z,z. Anyway, anything more?

I think that is all there is to know about those techniques. I wonder, can we start doing more than 3 techniques at a time? There's still a long line waiting...

( Suiton: Mizu Hashira Suiryoku no Jutsu ) - Water Release: Water Pillar Thrust
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user will manipulate their chakra and then they create water to rise up from the ground beneath the target lifting them into the air.

Not much more to say about this. You can create a pillar of water underneath an opponent, mid range from you. No handseals, quick, efficient. Nice technique.

( Suiton: Seisuiryū ) - Water Release: Azure Water Stream
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user will create a moving body of water beneath him that travels towards the opponent carrying the user. They then slash the opponent with their sword multiple times.

Similar to the technique above, except you use it beneath yourself, the pillar is not as violent, and then you can manipulate it to carry you like a surfboard, from where you can slash your opponent with a sword or other bladed objects.

( Suiton: Nagareru no Muchi ) - Water Release: Flowing Whip
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user first kneads chakra in their mouth and then, placing their hand on their mouth expels water in the form of a whip which they use to lash their opponent, sending them flying backwards.

This ones allows you to form a whip, which I believe is more flexible than other stream or jets. I don't understand the hand in the mouth part, do we hold it as if we were holding an invisible cylinder, creating a tunnel through which the whip can form?

The next set of techniques came up, and Dean was ready to explain them to his young student. However, these techniques were easy and didn't need much of an explanation. Dean added a bit to the techniques though, like expanded usage and such.

"Awesomeness. Good job on those techniques, they are indeed simple. The first technique, Water Pillar Thrust, is one I like using very much. You manipulate your Water based chakra, and cause a burst of Water to be released from beneath the opponent. A ncie way to interrupt hand seals or to catch your opponent off balance, also fast because it needs no hand seals to be formed. The burst can also be used from beneath yourself, blasting your up into the air.

The next one, Azure Water Stream, allows you to create a stream of Water beneath yourself, in order to get to the opponent. Once you reach the opponent, you will perform several attacks with your sword. Since the stream requires constant manipulation, you can't use other techniques which require chakra. So there's that.

Lastly, Flowing Whip. A simple technique and as another sensei of mine had said, very feminine xd. The technique is performed by placing your hand on your mouth, and pulling your hand from it, outwards, using shape manipulation to both release the water and form it into a whip. The whip has some form of solidity, which allows it to inflict some damage. :whip:

We'll just go with three techniques at a time.

Okay...

Panthalassa meekly says, conforming to the fact that the three techniques per round was here to stay.

(Suiton: Hahonryuu) - Water Style: Destruction Torrent
Rank: B
Type: Offense/Defence
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: After waving the Boar → Dog → Ram hand seals, a water vortex created in the palm of the user’s hand that can then be blasted forward creating a spiraling wall of water which can then be used to attack or defend.
Note: No water source required

This requires 3 handseals, and then shoots out a water vortex from the user's palms. It's pretty straight forward.

(Suiton: Mizu Kamikiri) - Water Release: Rising Water Slicer
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: After performing the Tiger hand seal the user creates a fast jet of water running through the ground that is powerful enough to slice through solid rock.

Requires one handseal and then behaves exactly like a technique we already described.

(Suiton: Ja No Kuchi) - Water Release: Water Snakes Mouth
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: After performing the required hand seals Monkey → Rat → Tiger → Dragon → Horse → Dragon it then allows the user to generate a spinning column of water which will take the form of a snake with a gaping jaw. This snake can twist and follow its targets and swallow them. After it has swallowed them, it turns into a river that carries the enemy away.

Requires 6 handseals and then creates a spinning water column that takes the form of a wide-mouth snake. It is flexible so it can wiggle around to pursue an opponent.

Dean listened to Panthalassa who didn't give as much detail as he could, but decided to just go on anyway. The techniques were indeed simple, but there were still some things that are worth mentioning, even if some effects do seem to come up every now and then with techniques. Nonetheless, Dean adds.

"Alright, more detail on the techniques. They are a bit repetitive, but each technique is special and has its own characteristics in a way. Anyway, Destruction Torrent. A nice technique, and can be used without a water source. This spiral of water can push an opponent back with great force, or force an opponent into a corner. The trajectory of the spiral of water can also be altered by simply moving your hand.

Then, Rising Water Slicer. A technique similar to Rising Water Cutter, where with a single hand seal one causes a jet of water materializes, and then travels along the ground towards the opponent. The technique has both speed and power, but it merely travels in a linear line towards the opponent. Simple but effective, best used when the opponent is constricted.

Lastly, Water Snakes Mouth. Six hand seals, and basic shape manipulation to create a snake with a gaping jaw, that moves towards the opponent. The snake is quite versatile, and can move around to avoid objects, or strike opponents in tough spots. The technique does not require a water source, but can be used as one, due to the large amount of water generated for the snake to form in the first place. Overall, a nice technique and can be used in combinations easily."

I know sensei, each technique is unique. But they behave so much alike, it's hard to see the purpose. Other than variety in names, most are truly just repetitions of a same concept. It's the same problem I had in the academy... everything was either the same or just plain boring.

Which might have accounted to the reason why he just took so long to actually graduate.

(Suiton: Funshutsu Mizu Kinko) - Water Release: Gushing Water Imprisonment
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user creates a flow of gushing water under the opponent which traps them in a sphere of water. The user can perform an attack while the opponent is trapped. This jutsu is similar to Water Prison Technique, though the user doesn't need to keep his arm in the sphere of water.
Note: Technique creates its own water source

This is a very interesting technique. Good rank, no handseals, and it creates water underneath an opponent. After the water is created, it caves in, into a sphere similar to Water Prison, that will keep the opponent trapped. It doesn't require maintenance or contact.

(Suiton: Mizurappa) - Water Release: Water Horn
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: After waving the Dragon → Tiger → Rabbit hand seals, the user creates a big jet of water that is launched from their mouth. This technique works exceptionally well with Lava Release: Quicklime Congealing Technique to help it become like cement.

This one requires 3 handseals and it creates a jet of water that is more wide-spread than the very thin almost laser like jets we've seen so far. Also, I don't understand the range in this technique, since it is made from the mouth, thus it should be short-mid.

(Suiton: Haran Banshō) - Water Release: Stormy Blockade
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user will slam their hands against then ground allowing him/her to summon a massive amount of water from the sky, crushing it into the opponent. If needed, the user can cancel the technique in an instant.
Note: The water needs to be summoned at least 10 meters above the opponent to have any real effect

It's weird that we need to slam our hand in the ground for a water technique, but the effects are quite good, since it creates water anywhere within field, above the opponent. It mentions that 10 meters high is required for any real effect, but I believe anything lower would still be beneficial, if anything, just to have an available water source.

Dean laughs as he hears what his student says, indeed. Water was one of the longest elements to learn, so one would indeed come in contact with repetitive techniques. Dean remembers his Water training that he had with like, 5 different people ;-;. It was such a long process. Nonetheless, he continued to add his parts to what was given by his student.

"Unfortunately, it does require one to maintain by one hand seal, and they should really edit the technique. I once used it against a fellow villager of mine, and although he didn't mind me using it without a hand seal to maintain it, I asked the man who makes the techniques (Scorps, once again xD) and he told me that the technique requires a hand seal to keep it going. The technique is still bad ass though, as it creates gushing water from beneath the opponent which then rises to create a prison. Though you can't use other techniques which require chakra, you can always throw a explosive tagged kunai, or if you have a clone on the field already, that clone can create a fire technique from beneath etc. The technique also creates its own water source, from which you can then use other techniques again which need a water source like water dragon or so.

Scorps - 03-19-2014 02:15 PM Report
Every technique that is like that and has nothing stated otherwise requires you to sustain it by exrerting your will and in the case of gushing water imprisonment, the handseal needed must be kept as you focus your chakra thus allowing the technique to continue. The moment you perform another technique, that one ends.

Hey Scorps, I would like to know, is Gushing Water Imprisonment self sustaining? Say I perform it, and I perform another jutsu right after it, does it continue to create the gushing water from beneath the opponent in an attempt to trap him or does the same logic apply as with the Earth Golem, that requires continuous insertion of chakra to sustain it?
After that, Water Horn. Another stream based technique, but it is indeed much thicker than the previous ones we have covered. A very nice technique too, used in conjunction with Lava Release: Quicklime Congealing Technique to create a cement like property. Very simple though, and not much can be said about it.

Lastly, Stormy Blockade. A technique used quite a lot here, and for good reason too. The technique is usually used with a combination of drastically dropping the earth below the opponent in a spherical shape, and then drowning them with said water. Or to create a water source as you mentioned, or to simply get them wet so you can use a Lightning technique to much greater effect than usual. Its a very useful technique, and you can even overpower the opponents Stormy Blockade, by overpowering it with a more powerful Water technique to be formed from it (Like NK did against Scorps in his half sensei test, which is now deleted >_>)"

That was a weird reply. Scorps-Sama said "the handseal needed must be kept as you focus your chakra", but the technique doesn't mention any handseal. I understand sustaining would require an handseal, but the way he said it just makes me think he was referring to a different technique he might have confused the description. Regardless, I will use an handseal to maintain it anyway. I'm assuming it's double handed?

(Suiton: Bakusui Shōha) - Water Release: Exploding Water Colliding Wave
Rank: B
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user performs the snake hand seal and creates a large volume of water from their mouth spilling it toward the ground and lifting them up into the air. The user can also ride the wave, allowing him to travel at high speeds and attacking the enemy. The user can create a small ocean worth of water even in barren conditions and can use the water for additional techniques.

This one requires 1 handseal and spits a mass of water from one's mouth, into the ground. You can use it to travel, which makes me think of the Azure water technique we learned before. I believe this one merely creates more water? What exactly is a small ocean's worth? That just seems like too much water...

( Suiton: Suishinshū ) - Water Release: Water Quaking Pillar
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user jumps into the air and then stabs his sword intothe ground, where he causes water to burst up around him and creating a pillar of water to rise up in the air repelling the enemy.

This one requires you to plunge a sword in the ground, which will then cause water to prop up around you, defending you from an enemy. This sounds like a very quick defence when you're in a close quarters battle.

( Suiton: Seiryūshō ) - Water Release: Azure Dragon Palm
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user unleashes a spiralling torrent of water from his hands

Even the description of this technique makes me think it knows it is only a repetition. I mean, the description itself gave up... it's just that, an handsealess spiral of water that shoots from your hands towards short range.

Dean remembered somewhere else it was written that the technique required a hand seal too, except for his conversation with Scorps. Nonetheless, it had sufficed, and they continued onwards as they still had a lot to cover, Water was a large amount of techniques.

"Very good. Exploding Water Colliding Wave. A very famous technique, especially against Swamp of the Underworld. Oh no, its on a much larger scale than Azure water stream. This technique releases a large amount of Water from your mouth, that creates a wave like formation of water, that travels forward towards the opponent. Not really an ocean worth of water, but an extremely large amount of water. People use it to lift themselves off the ground due to something forming beneath them, or simply to have a water source. You can ride the wave towards the opponent, or jump off and let the wave cascade towards said opponent whilst you perform something else.

You must be registered for see images

Water Quaking Pillar, another Water/Kenjutsu technique where you will manipulate your Water chakra, to release an omni directional blast of water that forms into a pillar that acts as a defence. Very simple, but requires you to plunge your sword into the ground first, which is quite meh, but nice to use in close combat. Other than that, simple water manipulation.

Lastly Azure Dragon Palm, another stream based technique that is shot from the users hand/palm. We've covered several of these now, so you know how they work. Only difference between them are ranks and names."
