Our dreams of interwebs freedom is black
I look forward all the time
But I can't help but look back
Our new found world-wide sharing is now a crime
Well for me it was back in Oh-Eight
I finally discovered the internet
But as usual I was 5 minutes late
The big corporations gave us one more regret
I never thought I miss all the things I do
I miss playlist, myspace, even being rickrolled
All the guys miss the free pornos (Don't lie, IT'S TRUE!)
All the girls miss.. all the cheap stuff on ebay they sold
And there was a time when chatting was cool
It wasn't all.. "A$$, T!ts, V@g, or get the h3ll off!"
A guy named Tom on Myspace wasn't such a fool
Twitter? Just another reason to awkwardly cough
It seems the internet has become another joke
We used to share unique ideas of our own
Now it's by fat-cat millionaires to make us choke
And instead of friends we have apps that never leave us alone!
