My idea of fun is watching these mortals suffer at the hands of demons. But I get the vibe feeling that your idea is somewhat different.

making them suffer physically isnt enough, we must cause mental suffering...
and the only way to do that efficiently... is to kill off the ones they love

That is too simple. Sure they will suffer mentally by the death of their loved ones, but its too obvious. I'm not a common demon, and I shall not act like one.

*Body explodes into crow feathers then they slowly flow down to a couple of the humans and begin to swarm around them sending them into a day dream of their greatest dreams and desires then some of the crow feathers break off from the swarm and form my body up near you again*

If they are going to die, they should at least get some joy out of it. I believe that makes for good entertainment.

Wait for it... wait for it... *Snaps fingers making the swarm of feathers break away waking the humans up from their dreams causing them to begin to cry and hate the life they live after encountering a perfect life in a dream*

Well, I made a couple of them turn into depressing life hating people. All that is left is to let them end their own suffering. *Grins*

*I reach my hand out and the shadows of my fingers connect to the human's shadows*
*I begin to control the humans like puppets and I slowly raise each one of their hands up with a knife and I force them all to point their knives at one another and I begin to force them to kill each other*
