The Hobbit movies were the most disappointing I have ever seen, mostly my own fault since my expectations were too high. But this scene makes up for all of it. LoTR are my fav movies and the Hobbit mvs are just kinda meh to me but this scene is for me the best in all 6 movies (if I ignore that Gandalf is beaten on the ground and let go the cringe Galadriel at the end)

Its not really what Tolkiens stories are about and not in line with the books but we have the greatest left in Middle Earth (And my fav lotr chars, only Aragorn missing) and they kick butt ... enough for a nerdgasm

er....

I find it really hard to ignore Gandalf here.. I wish the producers had paid copyright money for all five wizards and let them handle it, like they did in the book. Not all money had to be spent on CGI only.

The White Council handled it in the book not the Istari (well 3 wizards were present but 2 werent and Galadriel and Elrond were there as well as well as Cirdan and Glorfindel ...)

What I find irritating is the way movie makers keep trying to ship Gandalf with Galadriel. It's personal peeve but I find it unpalatable.
